MarkBass make Basses Now? But are they any good?
Markbass has a proven record of making high-quality, lightweight bass amps, and the Italian company’s colourful speaker cabs have worked their way into the rigs of many top-name players.
However, Markbass also produce a number of basses – there are seven different series available – and the MB JF1 is the very first I’ve tracked down. In this video I’m going to find out how good it really is.

I belong to SBL….but I don’t understand why ANY of you only demo for class or here on YouTube, you ONLY demo or show “new bass” day are basses that are $5000 and above! Why didn’t you demo the $299 mark bass p bass?

I just picked up a used markbass mustang style short scale bass in mark bass yellow from guitar center. Haven’t found it anywhere online I don’t know how rare it is but it plays and sounds great! I actually came in to pick up a 5 string and noticed it sitting on the used gear rack. Ended up returning the 5 string and keeping the Markbass.
I will not buy anything Mark Bass again. My second little mark 3 head just died, 1200 bucks in amp heads down the toilet. They can’t even repair their own products in house, that’s very pathetic.

By the way, the tone control is also a switch. When you pull it out, the bass switches from active to passive, as if it was a Fender jazz bass. You'll be surprised how good the bass sounds in passive mode.

If you get the possibility to find and buy a Squire jazz bass standard 2007 MI Indonesia for about 150-200 euros, do buy it, with only some adjustments and setting them up, it sounds and plays killer.
