Metal Guitar Techniques | Modern Metalcore Lesson
Today’s guitar lesson I go over the most common metalcore guitar techniques also used in djent, and thall. When learning how to write metalcore riffs it’s important to learn the techniques and tricks used in your favorite modern metal bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Knocked Loose and others. This guitar lesson is for beginners to understand the techniques and put into your own practice as long as you slow down the ideas and go from there.
I’m Brendon Padjasek of the band Structures from Toronto, Canada and welcome to my channel based on modern metal, djent, and deathcore music, production, mixing and song writing.

Thanks for watching. Which subgenre should I do next?
This is a god send. I’ve been writing riffs and I’ve got a few I really like but feel like they are lacking. I love open tapping licks and have a few I wanna spice up with some of these techniques
What brand of guitar is this?
Amazing video????????????
This guitar's octave needs to be adjusted
So you’re telling me it’s more that 578 and breakdowns ?????
Well I guess I am better on guitar than I give myself credit for! I already do a lot of these pretty intuitive tbh
Everything wrong with modern Metalcore in one lesson
This is the tutorial I didn't know i needed! You're amazing dude, please keep the content rolling.
Sick
I hoping for the chug section, you would've went over how to get the metallic clank. And the djent quack.
Those are two things i want so bad. I'm doing everything right and still can't get it.
The only thing i haven't done enough is pickup height.
Or idk if it's a recording technique?
Im 100% digital, which makes it more frustrating bc I'm sure that's the easiest way to get that tone.
METALCORE
What amp and cab are you using
Nice lesson dude.
what tuning is this?
What tuning is this
The chord info is so nice I use the seconds alot but havent tried the other ones before. I kind of neglected theory and chord stuff when starting out but really want to get into it now. Thanks for the content!
Yo, thanks for the video!
Great video, great player, I'd love to see or hear about what you use for a rig life and what you use for recording your videos?
I'll be honest… I didn't think I'd like this video. But… I do lol
Since when destiny become a god at modern metal

Amazing video! Thank you so much for this! I just found out I didn't even know sh*t lmao!
really enjoyed the lesson, thank you for sharing
Very underrated. I like how you put all the techniques together instead of just focusing on them individually, which is what most youtubers do.
Very interesting! Thanks!
How do you get your sounds so clean? My setup is simple but believe it should be good enough to not sound s%$t!
Djent-chug is very Monuments ????
Yoooo… is that a Warmoth custom build? ????
