  • TIL about the zing. Can't call it anything else now. Great interview and incredible playing!

  • A very quick and brief name drop of Michael Hedges. Funny how as I listened to Dawes explain some processes, and I instantly thought of Hedges – then he drops the name. Simply amazing that Hedges has been gone for 27 years, yet still has influence on today's most cutting edge and creative musicians. Hedges would have been 70 this year. He would be absolutely blown away with Dawes' improvements and ideas. Will definitely be checking out some Galactic Acid. Thanks Tyler ♥

  • I want another 5 minutes of that All Along the Watchtower jam, holy shit. That felt special.

  • I don't consider Mike Dawes and Jon Gomm guitar players. They're something more, but the term just doesn't exist. They're unbelievable. One-man band sounds hokey and doesn't do them justice.

  • Saw him live with Tommy Emmanuel last year. Incredible night of guitar music. And a heck of a nice guy, got to talk for a few minutes at the merch table between sets. The live CD is great by the way.

  • technically very advanced player but I cant stand the endless tapping n knocking and beating on his instrument. Its like a gimmick , overdone..

  • Absolutely astounding guitar player. I adore his playing. Unfortunately i can listen to barely any of it because of the excruciatingly annoying bangs and clicks and scratching noises he throws it.

  • Where is Andy McKee these days? He's the OG of those YouTube viewing revelations like "I can't play that" and "I'm not good at guitar."

  • That last jam was the prettiest thing I’ve heard in a long time and I just listened to A Sad Cartoon by Loathe a little bit ago. Yall killed it, being able to play with someone else like that is the main goal and hearing people make stuff like that on the fly really motivates me
