  • sounds like my jhs crayon. bought it so i could emulate the sound of the misfits' dirty bass AND guitar tones together. can also do the DI sound that you hear on some songs.

  • Gotta love the misfits logos none of them were ever liscensed so anyone can make anything. Im a die hard danzig samhain misfits dork growing up and still love glenns music. So wierd misfits pedals as an super fan knows they didnt really use anything special jerry had two ricks doyle had his icemans. Ive built pedals and amps for a kiving for over a decade and the misfits shaped my whole teens to young 20s but never thought of doing a misfits pedal cause doyles tone was a marshall turned up. I wanted at there tour buss in 1997 when they were on the first tour with graves. The rv was from nj and the turbo diesel logo was broken to say turbo die i figured it had to be there so i knocked and jerry ansewrred i waited for doyle and Sked him some guitar questions.

  • I thought the pedal sounded cool, but my only complaint would be the Attitude knob. It really doesn't do anything until you turn it all the way up. Then I'm not sure what it's doing, sounds kinda like they're choking the transistor's watts out of it. And then you gotta compensate with the volume. But you do get that cool early Misfits tone. Not unless you're a complete fiend, it's probably not worth the price it costs. But definitely if you're a fan. I am, so it's very cool.

  • I wonder if Franché Coma received credit for this, since he was the one who played the guitar in Static Age

  • Not saying this pedal sounds bad but it doesn’t sound anything like Static Age. I think Franche Coma just used a Big Muff, he’s a great guitarist, maybe my favorite Misfits guitarist, but his guitar tone itself is fairly straightforward

  • Would you consider doing a full cover of Skulls? Sounded really good when you demoed it.

  • Hi , is this pedal more similar in sound to a Big Muff , a Rat pedal or a Fuzz Face pedal ? Thanks.

  • I like Doyle's pedal and his sound more. But it's awesome to hear what this has to offer. However, I wonder how much meat would be added with some middle, maybe this combined with an Overdrive pedal? It reminds me a little of my Rat Pedal. The Rat is improved in my opinion with my Soul Food OD pedal.

  • In my opinion I think you have to hear this pedal in person. This is an excellent review and does it justice but, I have to say in person through my Marshall 100 watt this thing lays down a wall of sound. It comes through a lot warmer in person it just really hits you in the face. If you have the money and you grew up loving this tone then don't hesitate to buy one. I was lucky enough to have one gifted to me from a close friend. If I would have known it sounded this good I would be selling off some equipment just to afford this pedal. I've tried different setups and I've got close to this sound using different plugins on studio one, but there is truly nothing that really replicates it as well as this pedal does.

  • Thanks for doing this review, I was super-curious as to how this pedal sounded! I wasn't really expecting it to be basically a gated fuzz, but it certainly sounds like the record. Looking forward to seeing more stuff from you guys! ????
