Distort. Mangle. Transform. Introducing Trash 2…
It’s been nearly a decade since Trash first arrived as the ultimate distortion toolbox. Over the years, it’s remained a cult favorite of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Noisia, Garbage, KoЯn, Sigur Rós, and anyone looking to add dirt, grime, and character to their tracks. Now, almost ten years later, Trash is back…
Completely rewritten from the ground up, Trash 2 takes the best of Trash and makes it even better.

You guys are always amazing coming out with great stuff

I'm so late to the party… This is an old tutorial but wondefull nevertheless. Like many people here already pointed out, level matching for AB comparison is crucial. Very useful tutorial anyway… Trash2 rocks! I'm loving this plugin
I love this device, but the Bypass examples in this video is useless since the output is not leveled to same volume. Thumbs down…
Hey i tried to make a sidechain in Fl studio, It´s strange because under "Settings -> Processing -> Connections" there is only the input1 and output1 and when i switch it on the sidechain trigger (Kick) starts playing and i can´t here the bass anymore. i tried everything but itdoesn´t work. What´s wrong? Other 3rd Party Plugins got something like an 2/3 output or a stereo sidechain.. Trash2 doesn´t. thanks
Nice rhythmic loop 🙂

For those focusing on the video not "level matching" there are two things happening (if not both) you're either NOT focusing on the "tech-talk" in which the narrator is doing an excellent job at explaining how the signal is being processed as well as if you're not watching this video while listening to the audio through a great pair of speakers, you're not going to hear the subtle sonic difference being applied to the mix.
Nice work guys. However, you really should level match the before and afters. You guys know this, and most people watching know this, so by not level matching, it seems like you're trying to pull a fast one, which is a shame, because the plugin really does look awesome.
Yes I understand that the music sounds like some grungy old garage band but I think he showed that a lot more can be done than simply adding saturation. That's an old trick and a good one … but things get much more interesting when distortion is combined with transient designing, side-chain compression, upward compression and so on. To have that all in one tool is quite handy.
Very useful and nice tricks to control and mix the bass.

Sorry about that Robert…perhaps I should have just shut up…my intention was not to be mean or disrespectful…I would expect to hear/see a higher level of music …I know this is subjective …it is my vote only…in terms of mixing it is a great trick for sure…a bit of saturation on the bass can really do wonders for sure…peace….0-@
If you read his post again you'll see that he said the tutorial couldn't inspire the United Nations any more than it already does. Nice compliment.
I don't understand your criticism. You've provided absolutely ZERO CONTEXT for what it is that you find uninspiring. For me as a mixer of music played by real musicians, I found this to be very interesting. Getting electric bass guitar to sit and pop nicely next to a bass drum is always a challenge so this is a very refreshing approach. Great product!
i love this plug in
Other than that, i liked the tutorial very much! 🙂
Hard to compare before/after when the output is much higher than the input .. of course it will sound better!!
I think they've been attempting with these videos to inspire non-electronic artists to purchase the product, as the tool is already sealed in sales among the harder electronic scenes.
Wow you guys. Please. I don't mean to be disrespectfully but really? This couldn't be more UN inspiring?
