My Review of the CoolMusic BP60D

The CoolMusic BP60D is a battery powered amplifier that works great for vocals, guitar and keyboards without the need to AC power. This means you can play in the woods, coffee shot or any outdoor area and be free to setup wherever you need to.

  • This was exactly what I was looking for, powered speaker with dual XLR inputs and reverb/tone control. Unfortunately it no longer seems to be available on amazon, just the bp40 and bp80 are and neither are dual XLR input.

  • I actually use it for harmonica, both on the street, and I have used it as a harmonica monitor on stage. It's cheap, the battery seems to last, and sonically it fine. For this price, you can't expect much.

  • Are there any Busking PAs with built in ability to record songs one assign to tracks.”? (So something for outdoor spontaneous songwriting, and to use with an electric guitar not acoustic/electric.)

  • I want to use this as a monitor for guitar synth, input to the line in. Can anyone confirm or deny as to whether a stereo input to the line in maintains stereo to the left and right speakers? This is the perfect size and power for my use, but if it sums everything to mono, I'm not interested. Thanks!

  • Thank you for your review. You inspired me to purchase this Amp for my son's accordion. It's an Excelsior hand made piece from the 1980's that's been retrofitted with condenser mics on both sides. He has a tube amp but is is 120v AC. He is playing an outdoor gig this Sunday and he needs a battery powered amp because there is no current in the area and he will be roving, standard for (younger) accordion players who can haul this full sized 120 bass monster around and I too may have to frequently change locations as the crowd shifts.

Party hosts always ask him to use a microphone for their events and I liked how you demonstrated the effectiveness of how a voice sounds. He is wireless via a UHF transmitter. Thanks you for pointing out that he can use a USB port so that I can play music from my iphone during his (much needed) breaks. He is 22 yo now and has been playing since he was 6, and has been gigging since he was 11. Most accordionists won't use a solid state amp but I couldn't find a rechargeable tube amp.

If you want to see him play, there are lots of older videos of him on YouTube: "Lorenzo Lucchesi accordion".

    Cheers!

  • Thanks for the review. Since you also reviewed BP40, which one do you recommend for practice at (very) low volume, BP40, BP60 or the mini? Do they sound similar at low volumes?

  • Do you think you can , or have you tried to run an electric guitar amp thru the speakers, you know use as a monitor While playing the guitar thru the guitar amp. I mean if you can run pedals thru it why not a another amp, and do vocals. What's your thoughts on this since you have one? Thanks.
