My TOP 12 Favorite Pedals Of All Time???

You guys asked for it so here it is. A (very) subjective list of my top 12 favorite pedals, picked from the several hundred I have had the privilege to play and/or demo over the last 5-15 years (I’ve been demoing for 5 but was pedal obsessive long before starting this channel).

I never ask, but it would mean the world to me if you scoped my merch store and nabbed something. Sales there go directly back into my efforts on this channel. You can find it here:

This video is time-stamped for your perusing leisure (and if you want to skip all the talking beforehand).

At the end of the video I do mention several honorable mentions that probably hold equal weight in my eyes.

Come say hey on Instagram where I am an active pedal community member @spiral_caster

  • Remind me … what are we doing here? I wish I could go back to thinking this way cause it looks and sounds like a lot of fun. And to answer my first question – we must be here to make noise and have fun, because otherwise taking ourselves too seriously would be as silly as assuming we are going to be judged for what we do while we are here.
    Great sounds. Very creative stuff.
But you have too many guitars.lol. Just bury them with you when you’re done.

  • Your musicality is next level and very inspiring, not to mention how great they highlighted the capability and sounds from these amazing pedals, most of which I had never heard of.

  • Just out of curiosity , were you using the Vega Trem with the EF-P2 segment?

  • This is fantastic!
Also, forgot you got yourself another EOD! Excellent. I’d love to hear some sustainer action on the Alexander pedal you’ve got in the list.

  • What was the dirt you used, and the algorithm on the arcades in that lead part with the tele? That sounded unreal

  • Very sorry to hear about your house, hope your family is fine, glad that you’re back, best of luck moving forward!

  • I love pedals. Lists of pedals, too.
This is a nice selection and a testament to the variety of options available today. An “all-time” favorite list missing 20th century representation is unexpected!

  • I'm glad you "get" the Nightsky. I think too many players just didnt understand it and didnt know how to use it.

  • I think your guitar channel is the most complete, musically innovative, and intelligent one currently on YouTube. I honestly thought early on that you were someone who just put your head down and let genius level music just flow out of you, and shut up about it. These little talkie ones you drop periodically have absolutely changed that earlier perception of mine, and they perfectly augment the incredible music making ones. I love my NightSky btw. I am excited to be able to find a place for a Meraki on my rig when I can walk properly again after effing hernia surgery yesterday. And then back to creating!

This entire video was incredible. The music and the mind boggling possibilities these device beg users to explore…

  • Well, shit. Now I need to get the Silver Birch, and it’s all your fault. Thanks a lot for destroying my personal finances.

  • Having to actually buy stuff sucks! Thats why I depend on solid reviews so I do hope you and the family are ok and 2025 is a massive year for you.

  • I need to know: which fuzz did you use for the psych rock lead for the gfx-91w? Sounds amazing

  • Love that intro tune for Season of the Witch!. And great list, dude! The Sputnik has been on my radar despite loving the Dunsh that you turned me onto. Rockett's WTF is another tasty fuzz that goes for cheap that I won't ever get rid of. Nabbed a couple of shirts, by the way! Stoked for those!

  • I’m sure I’m not the only one but I’d love to see a season 2 of LMSN. That series was incredible and I’m not just saying that because I won one of the boards, it was inspiring to see what you guys were able to put together using different gear every song.

  • Can you play the effects on their own and then shift to what they sound like in a mix please old chap?

  • That silver birch sounded sick. What tuning are you using? Sounds awesome. Really dig that pickguard too, where'd you get that?
