This absolutely sounds like there is a high cut on B or the mic placement is more towards the center of the cone.
B sounds like it has a high cut, which sounds more like an actual guitar amp. Go into the IR on the Nano and check the Hi cut setting. If there is one, raise it all the way to 20khz (off) and check again. Next possibility is that the IR's aren't actually the same. Try using the same 3rd party IR on both. I very much doubt the actual capture is different.
Did you check your IR setups on both, can drastically change tone if one mic is slightly different.
Not sure why but QC is cleaner and clearer from NC samples?
