New Perspectives Music Apeiron Classic Bass – No Treble
Luthier Tim Sway of New Perspectives Music has been experimenting with his Apeiron Bass model, leading to this fretless version of the Apeiron Classic. The 32-inch scale bass has an extended fingerboard and a 20-inch fingerboard radius.
“If you’re unfamiliar with this bass, it has been a passion project of mine for three years, and many variations are now available,” Sway says. “However, I wanted to get back to the roots of the design, which started as ‘a tree with strings’ and make a ‘classic’ version of the instrument for sale. Local maple core with salvaged mahogany wings and the typical hidden EMG active pickup, this one is strung with Fender flatwounds and feels and sounds as good as it looks.”
