Nice review. Feeling really good about picking this up. A lot of videos didn't hone in on the tones and talk about a lot of the details. After 2 very bad experiences with Ray34s (1 twisted neck + 2 frozen truss rods & not having them wired in parallel, which is what everyone wants), I'm hoping this $450 beauty will fit the bill.

Sounds incredible. Still divided on getting this vs. an SUB which have the proper headstock and better colour selection. I'd nearly fork out for the Z7 for the better colours but I'm poor. How does it compare size wise to other Stingrays? Is it the same length? it's hard to tell if the headstock is more compact than the huge fender ones – what I like about the Stingray SUBS is they're a little more compact overall than a Fender bass
