  • Would love to own one…..great little blues box….my 0015 retro will have to do for now! Its a great blues box as well……my ONLY complaint with Martins is the binding issues…..my 00018 sits in the case because there isn't a Martin repair shop within100 miles from me……and they have known about the binding thing for over 30 years!!

  • It’s been said Sitka spruce is bright vs mellow. Cedar is typically considered warm.

  • For the past few years, something strange has been happening to the wood on the fretboards, and this doesn't just apply to Martin instruments. The color is not uniformly dark (as rosewood or ebony should be), but has something like lighter spots. It's possible that it doesn't affect the sound, but with guitars for this kind of money it shouldn't happen in my opinion. It really looks bad. In guitars up to, let's say, 2019, there was no such thing! Am I niggleing over the details? Has anyone else noticed this?

  • Nice playing on that 0-18. Great guitars.
Paul Davids of Youtube fame recently said that his favorite guitar is a 0 size. That surprised me. I agree. I have lots of 0-18's, a 1931 0-21, and new 0-42 and 14 fret 0-45.

  • These guitars are very under appreciated! I would love to get a vintage one of these they sound so warm and sweet!

  • The scale length on the 0-18 is 24.9in, the same as the 00 and 000. It's not very short – longer than a J45 or Les Paul (24.75in) for example.

  • Hey Nick, I already have a 000-28. I want a smaller guitar, but can’t decide. 0-18 or 00-18.

What are your thoughts? None of my stores have these to try.
