Old Beater Classical transformed by K&K Twin Spot

Guitarist Jimmy Galloway recently brought an old nylon string guitar into the shop. The MSG repair staff worked some magic on it, and put a K&K Twin Spot pickup in the guitar as well. Jimmy is an excellent fingerpicker, and he sat down and showcased some of his great playing in this video.

  • I can’t figer put of the sound of the guitar because this is not way to play a clasical guitar. Nice skills but that thing is more metal string guitar.

  • I've the feeling they could put those pickups in a discarded dogfood can fitted with a broom handle and shoestring and your playing would make it sound wonderful.

  • Where did you install the two transducers? under the bridge (inside) at the ends? or near the bridge on the harmonic top?

  • Does the k & k system you use have 2 transducers or 3 transducers? Maybe I get one with 2 transducers, what difference will it have with the one with 3?
