I have a question 4 ya. My Kustom quad 100 HD has a 3pin (line out) along with a aux in, & guitar/ 1/4" input on the front. On the rear, it has 2 speaker outputs, line output, return in/out, & footswitch. With all that said, can I use wired headphones on this amp? After owning this amp 4 some time, I really like it!!!
I just scored that same Kustom 100 quad 100 HD amp for a hundo. Wanted to look it up real quick then compare it to my Marshall MG100FX. Either way, ai couldn't pass it up! I take that back, I scored a Kustom M/Quad 100 HD but, it looks different. Mine does not have a cloth grill. It's all black tolex with a white line & the Kustom logo so, mine looks a bit different then yours but it's the same amp different age or something.
Scored an HD100 half stafk for 50 bucks last year from some redneck methheads who made a yardsale????
I inherited a custom quad 100 HD. It doesn’t look like that one, it’s gray not brown material… it also has the quad cab with Celestion equipped”. imho- it’s an absolute loud as hell piece of shit????. The 80 pound amp head is definitely all balls” and No Heart! (And no separate reverb)????????
Pretty sure Ted Nugent uses the combo version of this amp on stage. He has two 6505's but the Kustom has the mic on it.
That is a great review when you get to the panel section – clear view of what everything does with good examples! These Quads are awesonomic!
Why does everyone assume we all want to hear massive overdrive? The true way to test an amp is the same way to test a guitar. Clean first. It needs to sound good clean first. If the quality is bad clean, then it will be worse overdriven. Just my opinion.
I still have mine that I bought new and recently picked up another head. I've always thought these were sleepers. The onboard effects are ok. There is one big flaw. The aux input is a quarter inch input directly next to the guitar input. If you plug your guitar and pedals into the wrong jack, you will cook a capacitor. I've had to replace two of them since I am too nice and let people use my stuff. Great review!
Balls lol
lookin to get a kustom….is this by any chance the quad jr? looks like a removed plate on the top right? i think they both say quad 100….any size estimate on this bad boy? lunchbox maybe haha, any help appreciated thanks.
Is this solid state, or does it use tubes?
Where abouts could I buy one,I have a 200w version but it's very big and bulky?
