One Month Later: Sadowsky MetroExpress Bass Review…This bass OVERDELIVERS!
After one month of using and testing the #sadowsky Metro Express, here is my deep dive review on what you need to know about this bass. As a session bass player and a bass repair guy, I have tested a lot of different basses under the jazz bass category but the Sadowsky Metro Express has overdelivered beyond it’s price point.
I have tested this bass on different scenarios on recordings and live sets so in my humble opinion, that is the best way to know the full potential of any gear before doing a review.

How do you shape the tone without the tone control? I have the pj very frustrating without it. Obviously i have to install one but thats 200 to 350 more
My Kiesel/Carvin basses come shipped with excellent set up, and brand new Dunlop super bright strings.
Do you still get a hum when soloing a pick up? I never noticed it before so I am not sure if it’s new, or it’s been there. Only have the bass about a month. Hum goes away when both pickups are on full so just like a regular single coils, but I thought it’s supposed to be noiseless. Love the bass though.
What is the price of this bass?

I picked up the 4 string PJ Metroexpress recently, I know the phrase 'plays like butter' is overused but… it really does. I might possibly drop the Sadowsky VTC preamp in there at some point, but the more I play it, the less I feel it needs it. Tried it back to back in the store with some far more expensive Fenders and it wasn't even a contest, the Sadowsky came home with me, haha.
Yeah, the Sadowsky Blue Label strings are amazing!!! Sadowsky hit a home run with this bass!!! If I didn't have my 1st Gen Sire V7 5 upgraded with Bartolini dual-coil pickups, I would get one! I may consider a MetroExpress P/J which sounds FANTASTIC on YouTube videos that I've watched!!!
taena lang kwentang review. this could be a lot shorter if you planned what you're gonna say so hindi ka awkward pauses in between. baka 15mins lang to kung di ka anga anga. then there's the demos. style mo pang bridge pickup lang. can't you let the notes breathe? a few chords, two quarter notes, then endless noodling na. lalo sa slap. even marcus miller knows when to chill with his slap chops. and then ipapakita mo nalang within context yung bass, lunod pa and hindi equal ang audio level sa previous clips. so sabog sa speakers bigla. then babalik sayo na mahina boses, edi magtataas na naman ng volume. simpleng audio levelling di magawa. hopefully other pinoy bassists demo this kasi kung ikaw lang, walang bibili nito.

Nagpalagay ako preamp kay sir jay ng final shape with sadowsky config same sa SX mo sir, how does it compare to that bass?
