Open Position Blues Scales Guitar Lesson | Guitar Tricks
Stop waiting and finally learn how to play guitar today: http://bit.ly/2Ph0VeP
In this guitar lesson, Anders will teach you the open blues scale in the open position. Unlike the pentatonic blues scale in the fifth position and higher up the neck, this lesson will focus on only the open strings.
First you have to imagine that the nut is just another fret and then you can play the scale like any other pattern. This is called the open position blues.
Once you know the pattern, you can take any blues lick and adapt it to this open pattern. With that being said, you can get a number of unique sounds from playing at the open position. Watch on to learn about these new, bluesy licks using only the open strings.

Great lesson ????????
I have that same guitar except mine is the Jade color with the V shape hard tail. Loves my 'Tron pickups !!
This was a heck of a great lesson. I need to know if Anders has an album because this is some seriously good blues playing!
Been collecting a bunch of e blues licks and tricks. Thanks.
Loving this. My skills are limited, even after over 50 years of mucking with the devil's machine. Now, I have to have the cunning that comes with age, and having lost the limber fingers over the previous decades (pls, do get lots while U are young) and this open position is truly, the devil's playground (in a good way)
Thats a 100$ lesson ????????
Nice!
is there a tab for the licks you were playing
hey that's a nice strap – whats the make? ta.
Greaat !
Please read my other commentary on your last video ( on cowboy/western song )
