Learning to add bass notes to simple chords is a big part of moving from beginner to intermediate guitar. In Part 2 of this series, I show a variety of ways to add bass to simple beginner chords and show how this is a new way of thinking that opens up many creative possibilities.

Remember that a lot of becoming better at guitar is not just muscle memory,

  • hi Brett. nice to see you making videos again and thanks for taking the time to record these lessons. I've been learning guitar on and off for a couple of years now using youtube and Google and i can tell you the swiss cheese effect is real! so it's nice when i find an explanation that fills some of those holes (like your explanation of moving around 3 note parts of the chords did). all the best.

  • Dude, can't thank you enough for this series. I really needed help breaking through the standard chord strum plateau. This helps immensely!!
