Peavey 5150 | Peavey 6534+ | Solar Guitars | My favorite Death Metal guitar rig

A look at my favorite 2 amp setup. This setup sounds absolutely brutal. When I’m playing live or practicing with my band I like to use 2 amps for a thicker heavier sound. The 6534+ is my favorite but the 5150 is a classic and sounds great!

  • Man, I have been trying to figure out how to hook two of my amps up and have never came across that splitter. Now, how to run effects to both amps like delay and switch channels on both amps. This is where I came to the conclusion this is going to get really expensive to do that right. lol Killer rig! Sounds amazing!!

  • I don't know why people never mention the Peavey Ultra at their best rig still to me the best amp from the Peavey lineups

  • Can you share those 6534 settings, ive been chasing a sound like that for a long time

  • You had me at "It's fucking brutal". Absolutely killer sound! I love my Mesa Mark V:25. Makes me think of getting a smaller Marshall head, like a DSL20H and run them stereo. Thanks for this video!

  • You def. seem like a guy I’d kick it with. Love Immolation and death metal in general.

I also have those two amp heads and a mesa cab.

  • sick rig dude…. I think the plumes is a bit overkill though, I'd recommend a electric eye mudkiller etc

  • I run a similar setup as well, 2nd guitarist is gone now so i got a aby switcher and a boss rc-500 to kick on when I gotta play a different part than whats going on the other amp.

  • I use the Radial Tonebone AB-Y splitter and you definitely need the ground and phase switches! I run my Marshall and Bugera each side of our practice room, I’m also the only guitar player, great fullness

  • I always use two half stacks as well . I tell people this : every tone you love on records is 99 percent blends of amps . So why not as well. I blend a wizard MTL2 and a Diezel Herbert.

  • When you're standing in front of your cabinets like that are you projecting the voice of the amps+cabinets between your legs at 85+ Decibels?

I'm usually standing beside the cabinet to avoid any damage to my ears (I have tinnitus really bad in one ear)

And I'm curious if standing in front of them like that during practice would be painfully loud and dangerous

  • Out of phase sounded tighter and heavier to me, lol, probably just the camera mic being overloaded when in phase

  • Sounds bloody huge bro! It would soundy insane live!
Those peavey heads are pretty damn good for metal, affordable too.
Now im gona have to buy a peavey head 🙁
    Or 2…
    Or 4…

  • This rig is so fucking sick! It really does sound like two guitars, like a multi-track recording.

  • Can I ask you, since nobody I've spoken to at the local guitar shops etc., seem to have any clue, is there ANY such thing as a smaller, practice or combo amp of any kind,
that is suitable for home metal or thrash/death metal playing? Or, is it essentially impossible to get that kind of high gain sound out of anything like that, and you'd
need at least a Marshall or Mesa head and cabinet and some of these pedals to get anything close? I figured it was nearly impossible, but I thought if anybody would know,
it would be you! I mean, Line6 isn't cutting it, nor would I EVER buy a Fender, Vox, Orange, small amp for metal. Maybe a Boss Katana 100 watt combo, and that's if
it's as good as they say, which I'm somewhat skeptical of. If you had a small Marshall Valvestate with a good metal pedal, could you get close?
