Peavey AC BXP 4 Bass Guitar Review/Overview
Price: 250-380$ Can New
Its a good solid bass solider then the non AC and i’de say its good for jazz/rock not the best choice for a metal bass but its the best choice in the beginner range of 100-450$ range has a nice full tone, very slim neck and a nice medium 4 string action which is pretty good for both fingerstyle, pick style and slap style, very aggressive sound for jazz, lacks some of the lows that a heavy rock/ metal bass needs, still a good choice for a beginner tho and its defiantly worth the 300$ and will defiantly serve a beginner good for the first few years of his/her bass playing But if you can throw in a few extra hundred get a Epiphone thunderbird or a Squire frank bello signature
Made cause i figured why not

That bass costs about 900$ brand new…. what are you talking about?
The pick-ups are not the same
Dude tune the guitar it sounds like crap!!!
DOESN'T ONE HAVE 3 KNOBS AND THE ONE HAS FIVE KNOBS
thank you Ray for this review presentation. cheers!
you need to practice buddy make the bass make music … not make it cry
thanx 4 the info presentation on your bass cheers!
the difference is tht AC bxp come with ACtive pickups,.more tone controlsm of course better wood
I'm a drummer by trade that got into playing bass. My first bass is a Peavey red Milestone BXP
nvm
was that aerials from system of a down?
Sorry, but this guy doesn't know much about this bass. It has 18v active pickups and EQ whereas the standard BXP doesn't. It doesn't have a "tone" knob; it has a volume knob, treble, mid, and bass knobs, and a blend knob that fades between the pickups. Not sure what he meant by cheating with the blend knob. I have this exact bass and it's a nice bass. Sounds great as long as you know how to use the controls…
pros such as John Campbell (Lamb of God), Josh Sattler (doubleDRIVE) and Marco Mendoza (Ted Nugent, Whitesnake) are avid Millennium players.
SOAD – arials (y)
u playing MILK by sod??
i dont know if is important tht u fofget mention tht the AC have ACtive pickups runing on 2 9v batteries,,tht the main difrence. for those tht looking to buy those,, i sugestd the AC
very nice busget AC bass
@MrTaterpuff Its probably fret buzz' but I wouldn't worry too much. He's playing System of a Down's "Aerials"' which is in Drop C, which is pretty dang low. I'm assuming the string is just really loose, and that's why.
Cheers dude, I picked up one of these in the UK, having already learnt Sax, Piano and Drums to a high level it made sense to fork out for a half decent bass to start off…. Your video helped me make sure I made the right descision 😀
Awesome!
is harder wood better ???
i don't like the agathis body… I've heard that agathis is really cheap and doesn't have the best resonance
You say its not a very good metal bass yet you use Aerials – SOAD as an example, and System is arguably a metal band, wouldn't it be more beneficial to showcase the guitar playing a song that it is inclined to be playing?
u dont speak english very well. specific* other* "differences are" not *is… anyway stop talking & play the damn instrument.
im getting a peavy bass myself, thanks for the info before i get it.
