Pedalboard Rundown : Strymon Timeline, Atomic Amplifire, EHX Soul Food, Suhr Riot

It is the already nearly August 2016 and time to reconsider (again, I know it has only been a few months!) the pedalboard! Not sure why but always seems like a good thing to do at the begining of the heavy gigging season and blog about it. I know how much you guys love to see pictures of pedals boards and read about them. So here firstly is the picture in action….. Atomic Amps Amplifire Pedalboard with Strymon Timeline and EHX Soul Food, all on a Pedaltrain Novo 32

This now gives me the option to go directly to a PA or straight into and amp, depending on the gig or my mood. Just got a few different patches now to cater for both

  • Power supplies – try the new Strymon. I use an Ojai to power a 7 pedal rig including an Amplifire. I use a current doubler for the Amplifire, another output dedicated to a digital pedal (Pog) and I Daisy chain the remaining pedals with the remaining 2 outputs. Very quiet and lightweight. If I had more cash I'd use the Strymon Zuma. Gigrig is too expensive for what it is.

  • I like your setup, except for the distorted phaser sound. I prefer phasers and vibes before the dirt. Ever tried that?
