Jazz Fusion Hack #32 | Pentatonic String Skipping

You can add string skipping to the Pentatonic scale (and any other scale tbh) to create some variation in the way you play your lines.

It adds a bit of separation and when applied with other concepts; it can create a more “modern” sounding effect.

You can also have some fun experimenting with different technical applications like alternate picking, hammer ons and pull offs, hybrid picking, etc. They all provide different sounds to the attack of your notes.
