I was in a music shop trying bass guitars , but I was using a guitar amp and before I plugged it in I thought of this video.
I was wondering if I plug a guitar tunned 1 octave low into an average guitar amp what would happen?

You could only our volume on Middle and not all the way
I did this before and I turned it up loud and then it made a screeching noise but when I turned it down it worked fine
What about pluggin a bass on a multi fx pedalboard like the ME-90B and then connect the pedalboard's phone input to the aux input of the guitar amp (in case your amp has one)? From what I heard the reason why guitar amps are damaged by basses is a preamp/signal matter. The guitar input is obviously not made for bass at all. So maybe pluggin bass guitar/preamps through a more versatille signal will work without ruining your amp. I'm asking this because I'm a guitar player but I'm thinking of buying a bass someday.
The bass will hurt a guitar amp but the guitarist will be fine.
The bassist may suffer several blunt force guitar sized injuries however
I got my first amp not know there was a difference between a bass and guitar amp
I found out on my fender GTX 100 I can plug the effects loops in the back into a Bass amp. I can have volume completely off on the GTX so it doesn't get damaged but still get all the effects coming out of the bass amp. Best way to do it

If you do this, make sure to keep the volume low on the bass. Shorted out a nice old tube amp by doing this once

I plug my bass into a fender twin. It works great, just turn the bass down and turn the trebble down too so it doesn’t sound like a guitar.
