  • Maybe my exsperience is subjective but i live in the middle of Idaho desert, wall hanging guitars for decades, Ive never had issues with splits. I have a few hi end 1970s flamencos and 120yo mandolin,. I play daily so my action and intonations are fine, no warping happening

    My rational is, if the instrument isnt traveling, has never been humidified then dont do it. It will exspand the wood etc, joint damage, etc.
