Welcome to my entry for this week’s @HardwareJams weekend challenge! The prompt was “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” and since I don’t own any blue music gear, I decided to get creative and make some blues-inspired music instead! ????????

In this video, I combine a mix of vintage gear, modern tools, and effects to create a unique blues track. Here’s a breakdown of the gear used:

– Squarp Pyramid = sequencing.

– Novation Drumstation Rack = classic TR909 drum sounds.

– Roland MC-101 = bass and organ.

– Ibanez RC320M Guitar with Lace Sensor Drop and Gain pickups.

– Pedalboard with:

Wampler Terraform (Modulation)

Bleak District Electric Antistatic (Fuzz)

T-Rex Mudhoney II (Distortion)

Chase Bliss Audio Mood MkII (Micro-Looping and Delay)

Lovepedal Stir of Echoes (Delay)

Boss RC500 Looper (Live looping)

For the audio recording, I used the Roland MX-1 as my main audio interface, and also used it during the solo for added performance effects. I had a lot of fun blending all these elements together to create a piece that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
