SansAmp is your trusty best friend !
Yes more please
I'm seriously considering selling my current rig for the HX Stomp thanks to you guys ????. I love how versatile it is.
Great show! That was fun. "… for under $599?" Is the like the price of the pedal? I wrote a book long before I found this channel with a couple characters named Scott and Ian. What a coincidence!
this is awesome! one of the best videos with hx stomp on the internet!
Brothers I have a zoom b1a and this is the challenge I face every time I'm trying to rewrite or duplicate a patch and achieve a specific sound.
It was a very interesting idea to do the sampling audition which gave this episode a different type of excitement.
Thnx…????
Idk man he gets pretty damn close to the tones
I hear schism as scooped mids? Am I wrong?
What is the signal chain here ? Do you have Noble preamp ? Aguilar cab ? I can't believe it's only hx stomp direct to computer…
The bass for “Would?” was overdubbed with an electric acoustic bass.
“C’mon Allison!” Makes me laugh every time. You two are a lot of fun to watch together and Ian might be the Swiss Army knife of players.
Bass Tasting. Awesome
That Aria SB-1000 6-way tone loom is pretty unique (and have fun reproducing that range of tones). But it seems Aria is not in the bass stable. Ian seemed to have came damn close with the Jazz Bass and amp emulation. This was on the Cliff Burton bit, of course.
7. On right track but no … need more grind
6. Ya less mid … sounds great however
5. No , needs hi pass
4. Cliff no ….another minute youd have it, nice work however m/
3. No ….needs paremetric ? Another minute you'd have gotten it
2. Waters …. bravo m8 ???? , cool precision btw
Fun content Btw
1. Ged ? Not quite
R.I.P Mike Starr
Recreating iconic rock bass tones for under 599 USD…not including the tens of thousands of dollars worth of vintage basses ????
Your turn next Scott!
Scott, I've been a SBL-er over a decade!!! Allison, nice job, that is a difficult thing to do in 2 mins. All of us have tried to do this with varying levels of success… But you did a great job!
Fantastic! Like the format. Maybe allow presetting of any known signal path considerations to keep focus on tweaks and discovery of missing pieces? Understanding this was under $599, would like done with Fractal gear. Cheers brothers, Daniel
quite refreshing to see panic station instead of uprising or hysteria when it comes to bass tones
I love all of these videos. I’ve been playing for 22 years, but even the simplest lessons tips tricks still get my creative juices flowing. Tons of inspiration and nostalgia!
Genuinely, one of the best bass videos I've seen for ages. Great work!! ????????
The Stranglers' one would definitely need a 70's Rickenbacker
Is getting a helix floor an overkill for bass ????
“On this amp there’s no mid control”
Bruh just drop an EQ in front of it
I went out today and listeners to raggee and it was a better day.
Thank you guys.
cliff burton is a HARD one to emulate, like he said without that power wah its almost impossible!!!
Tone Pot!!!
,,You all know Ian Allison, Bass Tone Master Extraordinaire.
Or is he?" ????????
man see other men having fun – man happy
I do believe flea. Uesd an acoustic 360cab 361 amp head on a lot of albums
Is it really fair to Ian if you are asking him to match the original sound without having effects available that he needs? He did wonderful!
The format of this doesn’t add anything but it makes it much harder to follow what you’re doing.
What effect pedal is he using?
Mr Allison is way too modest, you killed it dude !
AIC: I wonder if turning the pick a little and using more of the side/less of the face would help bring the scratch and remove some of the crisp/attack.
Edit: never mind, they mentioned it right after with the low slung/angled bass ????
