Recreating Joy Division’s bass tone – Peter Hook’s “Rickenbacker” clipping sound


I tried my best to recreate Hooky’s bass sound from Unknown Pleasures in Guitar Rig 5. No overdrive, no distortion. Just EQ and max input gain to get that clipping sound. Also a bit of reverb to match the modern Unknown Pleasures remaster, in wich they added a bunch of reverb to all songs.
Played on a cheap ass chinese replica precision bass.
