  • I bought one of these. I agree with your review. The only issue I have with mine is that the G string has a very annoying intonation problem – it gets sharper and sharper the further up the neck I fret it. I'm wondering if this is something that using a wound G string might solve.

  • I'm 5'4" too, and my Takamine classical guitar is a bit big for me. Thank you for your video.

  • nice review, I'm wondering if the newer Cordoba classicals are as good as these older models ?

  • Thank you for this and other reviews. They are very helpful. What is that music you're playing. I've heard it but I don't know the title and composer.

  • What’s the difference between this and the Dolce which is also 630mm scale length and 50mm nut width?

  • In your opinion, is the Cordoba C9 Parlor guitar superior to the Cordoba 7/8 Dolce model? I ask because I’m not terribly impressed with my Cordoba Dolce guitar, and I’m looking for a better 7/8 size guitar.

  • Bradfords review helped me a lot to make the decision to actually buy this guitar. Now I am very happy with it. The size didn't worry me too much. Coming from a guitar with a nut width/scale length of 47mm/61cm, I feel this size fits me perfectly (I'm a normal 5ft 7in tall person). It was his comments about the sound (despite the smaller body) that reassured me and gave me the confidence to buy this model. I've had the guitar for a while now and I especially like the "sweetness" in the sound, as he called it, of the higher notes. Occasionally I play some higher notes (Tarrega's Adelita e.g.), just to listen and enjoy their sound (and repeat it over and over). Very nice review!

  • I bought a c7 somewhat recently as my first classical guitar. I am finding that as I am playing harder rep, my stubby fingers are really struggling with fingerings and it is quite unenjoyable to play. I am thinking of buying a Parlor size. I know Cordoba has some, including a cheaper one (the Dulce model). Do you know of other brands that offer smaller classical guitars? Do you think springing for the C9 over the $350 Dulce model is worth it as a newer guitar player? Thanks!

  • I don't know anything about Cordoba Guitars. So, I went to our local Guitar Store and bought Cordoba Luthier Series C9 CD All-Solid, Cedar Top, normal size guitar. I paid $970 for the guitar together with wonderful case. Oh, my God! It's such a pleasure to practice! It is so easy to take barre chords! Now I have been practicing for hours without any breaks. And I really don't care that it's made in China. It is light, very beautiful and sounds great.

  • I’ve only just purchased this guitar from Amazon and it has shipped. This morning I was suffering a touch of Buyer’s Remorse. I’m 5’2 and have been playing a full sized Goya for decades with all the challenges facing a small hands person. This is my first experience buying a new and relatively unknown maker guitar Suffering a “What have I done?” moment, I found your page. Thank you so much for your posted review. I’m feeling excited now. My new guitar will arrive on Saturday. I will be sitting on the porch awaiting the Amazon van !
