Rich Brown Reviews The BeatBuddy

Hey there, friends & neighbours. I’m not one who normally does product reviews, but I had to make an exception for this very cool pedal made by Singular Sound. Check out my review of the BeatBuddy, and stick around after the review to hear me play some groovy examples using this pedal.

This is my first product review. I hope you enjoy it!

  • I really think I like your teaching style. I’m impressed with the demonstration of the drum machine. I just bought on the lease 16 and so I’m wanting to learn how to incorporate that I’m going to be listening to you to see how I can do that again I am blind and so it is a challenge, but you seem to be very. I seem to connect with you and so please keep doing what you’re doing. I to contact you further to see if I can get 1 oh1 instruction or I think you’re right are a good instructor.

  • Have had a BB for a couple of years now, it’s sitting on the desk as I type now. Also have the Aeros Looper, but since life has been hectic for the last 6 months, haven’t used either one lately. Thanks, Rick for the heads up to get back in the saddle. Am also trying to improve my Bass skills in my free time. End result, I hope will be to lay down a rhythm track on my TASCAM to record songwriting projects.????????????????????

  • Unfortunately I’ve owned 3 of them and they don’t last long at all… mine stayed in my recording studio and never moved.. the first one just died and wouldn’t come back on… they replaced it no charge… however they wouldn’t replace the second one unless I paid half the cost of a new one… so I did… now the third time they wanted me to pay for a new one at full price… I didn’t buy another one… mine only lasted about a year and some change… when they go out they just go out and won’t come back on , and according to them at BeatBuddy you have to buy another one sux because I was just getting use to it. Then boom maybe I just got 3 bad ones ha.

  • It’s a real shame there is no control over drum velocity
Without dynamics it’s a great practice tool but a very once dimensional performance tool !!

  • There's a new software update available that makes it feel more like a real drummer. The new features are:

    1. The BeatBuddy will start playing as loud as it can when it detects you're trying to tune.
    2. When you turn it on you have to wait from 10 to 60mins to simulate a drummer being late for practice.
    3. You have to select tracks multiple times to simulate a drummer forgetting what it was playing.
    4. It replaces beats with hand claps to simulate a drummer turning up without any drumsticks.
