Rig Rundown – Brad Paisley’s Amps & Effects

http://www.premierguitar.com PG’s Rebecca Dirks is On Location in Moline, IL, where she catches up with Chad Weaver–PG Columnist and Brad Paisley’s guitar tech–and he walks us through the current selection of amps and effects Paisley is using during his 2010 H2O World Tour.

In this segment, we get to see four of Paisleys Dr. Z heads (Z-Verb, Z-Wrecks) and three Bruno heads. In addition to these heads, Paisley uses an Empress delay pedal, a Aqua Puss delay, a TS-808 Tube Screamer, a Wampler prototype designed for Paisley, and several others.

Also, be sure to watch the other video featuring Brad Paisley’s Guitars.

  • I still have some Dr. Z amps I bought in the late 90s. They still sound great but I don't tour with them any more. I went to the dark side and got a Kemper.

  • I love stories about brad he’s the biggest gear head, he’s a tinkerer at the fullest and a bit of a weirdo too. Takes guitars apart fiddles with shit lol

  • Actually the reason why Tony Bruno high tailed it out of New York he was afraid of getting arrested for hurting someone very badly. The person had to have facial reconstruction (3 surgeries). Tony was never in poor health, that was a coverup story. There was a court ordered award to the injured party that Tony will never pay, because he is hiding out in Florida..

  • My m13 is a God send I’ll will always have one I’m sure u can update it but I don’t see how u can make it any better..sure u could maybe add new sounds sounds but I can’t see what u could ad to make it better also it’s so compatible with everything that can just put it in the chain. I was a total over drive snob and than I use the ones that were in it and when heard that feed back I was hooked they don’t sound so digital. I use tube o.d. And one of the fuzzes. And all the analog settings sound truly analog.now I do use and additional mxr 78 distortion. But I mostly use enhancing or shaping such as a bbe sonic stop,10 band eq.for some leads acoustic simulator, a noise gate not all the time or at low threshold because the m13 cleans a lot of that up and of corse a wha..if u r a working musician session, touring, cover band, etc I would definitely get out as I said I was a total snob, but ur never going to get me to using tube amps…????????????????????????

  • Some people when they are rich buy cars, houses, jets, etc. Brad is a tone junkie and spends his fortunes on gear. Plain and simple

  • Sigh.  I remember the good old days when Rebecca Dirks was doing Rig Rundown.  A lot of guitar players would go on and on about how cute she is, but the reason her interviews were so great is that she asked questions and then let the person answer them.  She knew when to NOT talk.  Some of their other interviewers talk way, way too much.
