The firemans are literally paul stanley guitars same pickups brand everything
Somebody please tell me how to use the compressor the way Paul uses ????
I like Paul, but I can't stand that Scientologist whack job.
I wish I were taller.
The song was whiskey in the jar
I love Paul Gilbert, but today, he reminded me of Kermit the Frog. I guess its his manner of talking, his arms? I dunno.not sure.
What a great guy! Got to love PG❤
The reverse Iceman styled body on Paul's purple guitar looks great. The extended horn (on top now) probably makes it balance nice on a strap without dive.
Dude could play it even if it had NO strings…
Billy…..the Bass man !

hahaha jeez billy is insane
i think the interviewer was not sober at that time, the way he laughs and smiles all the times, is not normal
I love PG! ❤️
Absolute legends both of them!
It's the pursuit of getting good that's fun and exciting and it's difficult too.
Wank.
This man has the greatest bass tone pallette of all time
Yeah definitely heard the bridge pickup angle there and not just his incredible natural tone
Боже, какви ръце има това момче?
John is a moron.
whats the point if you compress the audio ?
Great video! Two awesome players and I like Kohn too. Billy and Paul both have really practical insights
As a guitar guy, I had forgotten how freaking great Billy Sheehan is. What a pair of musicians!
i see this dudes with crazy loop effects and stack units, stereo amps, and Paul just plug his simple pedals right in front of a marshall and instantly have a huge tone
11:43 Mama I'm Coming Home
@16:15 Imagine Paul Gilbert walking into your hardware store asking for an O ring… I think I'd faint.
Paul is such a nice guy
That DD3 truck is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen
Billy has a very good radio voice.
This interviewer looks so chill.
Had no clue he played in Mr. Big. Racer X is how I know him
Wow John just picked up Paul Gilbert's guitar and he didn't say a word. PG is really a nice guy
His hands are so big, he sometimes has to pull his middle finger out of the scale or there would be too many big fingers in the way. Crazy!
5:07 * Paul Gilbert touches the whammy bar *
* WOW! *
I hate gonzo reporting.
He was right about have a thick neck…they sound a lot better in my opinion too…my 3 best guitars all have super fat necks…Les Paul Special, a Memphis, and a 60s Tele
This interviewer
just bothers me…
absolutely everyone other player ever: tuned down a half step, it's Eb
paul: lol d#
I want John to comment on my life, as others have stated in other comments/videos. “Oh wow! Cool! You use whole milk on your cereal? That’s so old school! Did you pick that up when you first started eating cereal? Have you ever tried 1%? Or do you lose too much bottom end?”
Billy Sheehan is an AMAZING player but his tone as presented here I think is horrible lol after all that gear. Paul pulls a great tone with simplicity.
what is the name of the song billy plays at 28:00 ???
Paul Gilbert is a rare breed. You do not understand how great his technique really is unless you sit with him in a room with small crummy amps. At GIT he would plug into a peavy backstage and play perfectly. In contrast, many great, famous guitarists would pass through GIT to do clinics. I saw these guys bring delays, amps, outboard FX etc because the GIT practice rooms (where they often did the clinics) would have those crappy amps. This is why I say PG is a rare breed because his technique can overcome crummy tone on a level many players, even outstanding players, have not reached. Now this is not taking away anything from those players. There are other aspects than technique of course. I am just making a point. If you are a new player looking to break down your playing and then focus on technique; PG is a good resource to use. It should be noted that Paul's old roommate, Russ Parrish aka "Satchel", has the same perfected technique. Now, I really don't enjoy ripping a fast run too much these days; I just want to point out what I think makes this man's playing so special.
Someone tell Paul that O-rings come in variety packs.
White people are amazing
6:16 ????????????????
10th strings bent the bridge tailpiece on my FRM 100 🙁 Now I'm using 8th
Paul Gilbert l> John Petrucci
I find it kinda funny that his Pedalboard, the actual board that hold all the pedals, is just a plank of wood.
Wow some info on wood aging to crystalize tree sap and vibrating to imitate years of playing. That is some serious shit man. Thanks billy!
This host is so awesome. Always a good vibe without any play-act.
