Rocky Raccoon (Guitar Lesson): Beatles Guitar Challenge 001

Rocky Raccoon – an easy and fun-to-play song from The Beatles’ White Album. In it, Paul McCartney uses just five simple chords and an easy-to-learn trademark McCartney strumming and picking style.
Join me in my quest to learn to play a good acoustic guitar version of every Beatles’ song. Yes – that’s EVERY Beatles song! In this case, ROCKY RACCOON from the glorious ‘White Album’.
I’ll keep the arrangements as authentic as possible, and will share the insights I gain into the techniques used by John, Paul, and George in each song.
I’ll share my progress each step of the way. I’ll show you the chords I play and the picking and strumming patterns I use. I’ll give hints and tips on technique, timing, etc. I’ll also tell you about the difficulties and frustrations I encounter along the way.
I’ll also post performances of each and every song so that you can chart my progress, and can play along, if you wish.
Don’t worry if you’re a beginner or lower intermediate guitar-player. I’m only an intermediate level player myself – albeit one who’s willing to study and practise hard.
Let’s master the entire Beatles’ catalogue, on guitar, together!
