Hyunjung (blue/blonde hair) gets her effect from a Digitech Whammy Pedal. That's the red pedal on the ground in this video and the video for "Fearless." Iree (pink hair) uses the wah pedal.
Love the song, I think it has Hyunjung's best guitar work. I did a deep dive on her Instagram recently and she's a damn good guitarist and a pretty good bass player as well. I'll be seeing them in April. As for Japan, my group will be going to Nagoya for the first time in late January for Gacharic Spin/Doll$Boxx.
Cool fact, that is that song is song for a commercial so in short it is a commercial song, yeah S.Korea is known to make cool song for their commercials. So some peoples would think that this song is a song different from other RQ songs.

I loved this new song. I never know what to expect when RQ releases something new because I feel like their sound keeps evolving. And I say that in a good way. Their old stuff was more on the rock/classic rock side and I feel like the last few releases are a lot heavier and I personally hear some metal inspirations, but I am no expert. It doesn't mean I don't like their old stuff, I still love it. But I am glad they keep experimenting and doing something new.
And I completely agree with what you said about mixing genres. Maybe that's why I listen to more Asian music lately. I am no rap fan but I do like the hint of it we have in some Rolling Quartz songs like Victory or Pink Venom.
Arem mostly plays bass with a pick, her tone & melodic approach reminds me a lot of Duff McKagan of Guns 'n Roses. In some songs she'll take this punky root hammering approach whereas in others she'll go down more of a counter melody route.
Hyunjung is playing the lead guitar parts with a Whammy pedal (digital pitch shifter) so it's literally the Tom Morello approach. Iree the other guitarist is using a wah in places.
