A very interesting feature of the SCH-Z (I cannot speak to the SCH-1): In 'bypass' mode (that is, the chorus effect is not engaged), there is a stereo effect (put the switch to 'stereo' and have stereo cables routed to the output, of course).
From what I can tell, the decision to choose left routing versus right routing is frequency based.
On my channel, I have a couple videos from 2022 time frame, featuring a Univox Les Paul Jr. and I utilize the SCH-Z in stereo-with-bypass (along with one or two acoustic intrumental pieces from 2022/2023 time frame), and you may be able to tell the stereo separation that the SCH-Z produces.
This one seems more intense than the sch1 so I think to like it better.
