RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. We understand it may not be for everyone, but here’s to hoping you all enjoy and we absolutely love positive comments and feedback.

Amazing! Would have been better to include songs after 2010 as well as they are still great.
Loved your reaction
Pictured life is one of my favourites at side of In trance and Sails of Charon. ????????????
And when you took that coffee and had a drink, i instantly wanted some coffee too ????
Been at their concert at 2005, we were a couple of meters from the scene. It was fantastic, my friend catched the drumstick with autograph from Klaus Maine, and it was one of those great moments that you always remember ????
Virgin killer very very good
Soon after, Jürgen Rosenthal had to leave as he was drafted into the army (he later joined German progressive rock band Eloy, recording three albums
Ian Paice from 1968 of Deep Purple is still the drummer.
Michael Schenker wrote 3 tracks on Fly to the Rainbow. He recorded lead guitars on "Another Piece of Meat", "Coast to Coast", "Holiday", "Loving You Sunday Morning" and "Lovedrive" on Lovedrive.
Check out Polar Nights. Has Uli Jon Roth on lead vocals.
You should try some Budgie and Legs Diamond.
BTW – The Virgin Killer cover was definitely over the line. At least the banned Lovedrive cover featured a young lady of legal age (and lots of bubblegum) LOL
I saw the Scorps in Beaumont, Texas in October of 1982. The opening band? A heretofore unknown (to me) Iron Maiden. My goodness, that show was incredible!!!
So glad I found your Channel and very happy you're going deeper into my favorite band of all time. Scorpions! If you're a fan of Uli Jon Roth you must check out his solo stuff he did after he left the Scorpions with his band electric Sun. It is the most phenomenal guitar work that I have ever heard in my life it is a must listen you will definitely not regret it please check it out
Hi Nick, for your own reference, The song NOW off Blackout is excellent and you need to have a listen, you won't be disappointed. Cheers.
I met Klaus in an art store in Vegas and he asked me what I thought about a painting. Wish I got his autograph!
I will take the early Scorpions any day of the week!!!!
This is a solid playlist
I remember reading in a magazine WAY back in the day that in the early days they didn't speak English, so they wrote their songs in German, had someone translate the lyrics, then Klaus memorized them phonetically. Massive respect
Although Pictured Life is a great song, I think the 2nd track from Virgin Killer, Catch Your Train is a far better song and is worth checking out. The guitar work on that song is incredible.
There is TV performance of Polar Nights on Youtube where Uli goes absolutely crazy!Well worth reacting to.
Thank you so much for this marathon Lex!The Scorpions are in my Top 5 favorite bands. Started listening to the in 74 or 75.Great memories!
Blackout is one of my favorite Scorpions songs — also from that same album is a deep cut BANGER called Now. You need to check it out
Ohio had a band called Halloween. Fun concert.
Told ya
The good old Scorpions with Uli John Roth in quitar????
I have all their discography, books, t-shirts, DVDs, CDs, etc. I'm crazy about Scorpions. I first met them in 1984 with "Still Loving You" and I couldn't stop buying everything that came from them. 90% of their songs drive me crazy.
Nice video and marathon reaction. Like everyone one, i knew Scorpions only for those big hits like Still Loving You and Holiday. But then, in 2011, after i saw their Acustica concert and BAd Boy Running Wild, Scorpions became my second favourite band after Iron Maiden. I'm very looking forward to next July when i'm going to see them live both in Italy for my 4th time.. Greetings from Italy
Matthias Jabs is Scorpions lead guitar player since 1979… if u ever see him live, he's an incredible, underrated guitar hero.
Rudolf Schenker is mostly rhythm guitar and harmonies but he has contributed some leads, similar to James Hetfield of Metallica or Eric Peterson of Testament.
Scorpions started recording w/ Klaus Meine (vocals), Michael Schenker (lead guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), Lothar Heimberg (bass) and Wolfgang Dziony (drums) on their 1972 debut album 'Lonesome Crow'… the band broke up in '73 after Michael Schenker left to join U.F.O.
In 1974, Klaus (vocals) and Rudolf (guitar) were joined by Uli Jon Roth (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass) and Jurgen Rosenthal (drums)… Rosenthal departed that year and Rudy Lenners (drums) joined from 1975 to 1977… Lenners was replaced by Herman Rarebell (drums)
Uli Roth left in 1978… Michael Schenker returned briefly before departing… Matthias Jabs (lead guitar) joined in 1979 and Scorpions w/ Klaus (vocals), Rudolf (guitar), Francis (bass) and Herman (drums) dominated the 80's until 1992.
In 1993, Ralph Rieckermann (bass) joined Scorpions… Herman Rarebell left in 1996, James Kottak (drums) joined from 1997 til 2015; he passed away in 2024.
Paweł Mąciwoda (bass) joined in 2004 until today… Mikkey Dee (drums) joined in 2016 after Motorhead ended after Lemmy's death.
Fly people fly on fly to the rainbow is a rocker
For us, this was the HEAVIEST sound we ever heard..!
Narvik I like Scorpions a lot even the Michael Schenker days ! thanks for the marathon
Have you done a Scorpions Live marathon yet? Tokyo Tapes was my introduction to early Scorps so I always prefer those versions compared to the studio versions.
There is no album that doesn't have a song that I don't like.
TRIVIA:
Don Dokken was hired as a background singer for this album Blackout.
You can hear him in songs like Blackout and Dynamite. After the recording, Don Dokken recorded demos for his own songs including Breaking the Chains.
I saw Scorpions in San Antonio, TX, during the Face the Heat tour. That was an awesome show because they played so many different songs from their catalog up to that point. They even performed In Trance!
Oh Yes! Really like The Scorpians music! So happy there is a marathon on them. Great songs!!!
I think I mentioned this recently here, but it's worth mentioning again: old Scorpions = good Scorpions. Thanks, Narvik, thanks Nick, this is like hitting the Scorpions jackpot. ????????????????
Love Scorpions, should have started out with 1972 album Lonesome Crow.
