  • Side by side coils are basically a precision pickup, which is not what I want a Jazz bass for. How about stacked singles instead, SD?

  • So which PU was played when in the vid? Only left me confused. Definitely better I continue making my own PUs!

  • Now do a comparison on a bass with some relief in the neck and a medium action so there’s some bottom end bloom to compare. (The fret clank on this bass choked all the bottom out).

  • It goes exactly in that order – w/the 1st being (my) least favorite, and the 4th (Apollos) sounding the Best overall … to Me. Opinions vary, but my ears like the Apollos best.????????

  • I love the coloring on that bass that's the coloring of the Stratocaster I had my last Stratocaster that was stolen that bright white that same awesome pick guard but then I had the maple neck I wanted. It kills me and I have no money or anything to replace that in my base and my amp in my small Korg analog synthesizer that was one of the most insanely phenomenal instruments I ever played. I was able to perfectly play all the covers and Van Halen Jump and I'll wait, to rush subdivisions and Tom Sawyer it sounded perfect for everything I even learned how to play some Styx lol, I learned how to play Lady for her my old lady at the time. She thought that was romantic. Lol I could even get it to do perfectly like damn near anything and look synthesizer is a trillion times better than any of the other keyboards or digital keyboards or anything Yamaha or any of them other people have as long as it's a move or Roland or if you're on a budget but still want something that good the Korg company unbelievable pricing.

  • Truth is, you can get any of these sets outside of the active one and match the tones with eq. Sorry, but pickups aren't going to change the sound of a bass that much.
