  • I wouldn’t promote a company who doesn’t respond to their customers. Ordered with guaranteed Christmas delivery and still no guitar… Along with lots of other angry parents. The company won’t even respond to our emails messages DM’s, etc. no updated shipping info. Check out their social media comments.

  • I just bought my soon to be 5 year old son the mini electric bundle…it won’t be here by Christmas so it’ll be a birthday gift in February. He has been obsessed with music for years now and has said recently he wants to learn guitar and be a worship leader. He sings along with all the songs we listen to, my wife is a worship pastor and I play guitar for her. Hopping on my little guy’s expressed interest while it’s fresh and of his own accord so hopefully he has fun with this and it sparks years of interest and playing music as a family!

  • Absolutely! Adults who play 6 string guitar for years , are getting into the 3 string cigar box guitar . My gosh ! It's FUN !

  • I think it would be better to tune it from the low end with an E A D. Easier to play bar chords and get the kids ready for a 6 string. I have an expensive Uke that I tune D G B E and shred on though but for kids E A D seems a better choice.

  • Thank you so much for tip on changing the strings and what strings to use, my child’s guitar sounds so much better.
    P.S.
any tips on what strings to use for the Loog electric fender telecaster ????

  • My brother is a music teacher and guitar player, he uses ukulele as an easy intro instrument. Theyre great for kids

  • For under $150 id buy any normal size yamaha or the travel size yamaha or baby taylor, that will actually play well and stay in tune, not to mention have good quality build to them. They also come with gig bags

  • Was excited to get the Mini for my 3 yr old and I was going to get one for myself so we could learn together but it sounds like this is not the way to go? Do you guys have any other ideas

  • Hello! Not sure if you’re still checking comments on this post, but I was wondering if you would say the 6 string is worth it? I just picked one up on Amazon open box for $108 for my 8 year-old-son to start guitar lessons. After I purchased I heard his music teacher recommended a Yamaha mini, so I’m thinking of sending it back. What do you think, keep it or get the Yamaha? He does love the color of the Loog more ????‍♀️

  • You suggest the Martin m260, do you see any issue with the m160 set? Much cheaper for these in Australia. Cheers

  • "Like a ukulele, it does not stay in very good tune for very long" kind of brings the rest of your opinions into serious suspect for me. If your uke is a $50 toy, then yes that's true. Even a middle-grade ukulele barely $150 will stay in tune extremely reliably.

  • Quick question, I have a hand injury that makes it so when I use my ring and pinky fingers it is painful, would this guitar be good for an adult who can only use thumb, index and middle fingers? I worry about the size being an issue for me..

  • Thanks for this video! I am considering buying the loog pro electric for my son. Do you know the types of strings for this one?

  • I have the pro 6 string and the fret ends had to be filed or they would have cut my kids hands and definitely goes out of tune quickly. I think a min strat is the right choice in artic white and may be my next choice. My 8 year old loves my 3/4 size Ovation Trekker, its an oldy but a goody.

  • The Cordoba 'Coco' guitar is a nice little guitar for older kids looking to try it out. I think it's around $130-140.

Some adults love it too, haha.

  • Thank you for the string link! I have the mini in red for my boys. They love it and it’s definitely a fun and well constructed introduction to playing guitar.

  • I'ma say…. Uke harmonica kazoo xylophone… For the uke… Waterman, cheap and tough.
Even my cheap uke holds tune once the strings settle

  • I was made to play oboe as a kid, and as a result I still run away classical music. My kids chose their own instruments, and both are pretty good at multiple instruments of different kinds. Both had piano and a great teacher who let them discover and play and who made the theory fun. Play and discovery are important, but you do also need something to work on. Lots of music in the house all the time.

  • not that I am an expert in parenting or anything, but my wife and I play multiple instruments and expose our child to music daily, he's sixteen and pretends to not care about music, we have guitars and ukuleles and banjos lying around and music is playing all the time and he pretends to not care then occasionally he'll mention a Bowie album or Brian Eno, and I am like oh so you like Brian Eno, and then he'll deny it, and so on and so forth. conversely I teach music to other kids and when I ask what kind of music they play or hear at home and most often they shrug and say I don't know or worse nothing, the ones that shrug will never grow to be musicians or artists because they just don't have the exposure and therefore won't develop an interest let alone develop the discipline required to become an accomplished musician. you can point a kid to music but you can't make that kid play. so far as what a kid can learn merely from the tactile experience of holding a sound box and making a noise: the kid can learn a lot from that and I encourage more. you could get your kid a Barbie doll or a GI Joe doll or a ukulele.

  • I bought one for my five year old granddaughter last year. She loves it, but it does not stay in tune. At all. Impossible to actually teach her to play. Open to suggestions

  • Love many things about this video. I have two granddaughters that I want to introduce music to them. The oldest now five, we have been working on the uke. These look promising. The other thing I really love is the drift wood you have the guitars hanging on. Now that is cool ! Thank you for all your videos. They are helpful and enjoyable
