Sire Marcus Miller V7 2nd generation full review

Hi there!
Watch my review of the Sire V7 2nd generation.
I have some critique, but you´ll see, that overall, I absolutely love this instrument! 😉
Watch and hear some playing examples, and I even included a short comparison to my 1973 Jazz Bass, as many of you asked about that!
Thx a lot for watching, please subscribe to the channel, to help it grow!

  • That color is perfection. Wish they would have the V8 in the roster maple neck with that color. Great video!

  • What an amazing review, what an amazing bass, the most "Expensive" bass i have played is the Yamaha TRB505, i liked it but i really never fell in love with it and sold it, still playing my RBX774 made in Taiwan which i got for a $80USD 10 years ago in a pawn shop, i just ordered a Sire V7, im in love with its sound since i heard it at the Free Cover channel, sounds so good for latin music.

  • Hey Michael, great review to begin with, thanks a lot! I have been playing with a big band for a while and I have realized, that I have to change my bass. (I currently have a Harley Benton MB-4, don't get me wrong, a great bass, but it just doesn't really fit the vibe and in my opinion a jazz bass is a lot more versatile, which can come in handy for me) So I have done research and I was unsure if I should get me a Squier 60s Classic Vibe Jazz Bass or V7. I have played both Squier and MM before, but they were different models. (Affinity and V3 respectively.) With Squier I had a better neck feeling and liked playing it a little bit more, but I recently played a V5 and I liked it as well. Still, I am quite unsure..
Since you mentioned having both of the basses, can you help me please?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Just purchased me the Sire MM V7 2nd Generation 5 string. OMG. Only been playing 2 years so I'm mostly still a novice compared to all you others out there who have been playing for double digit years but I have two other basses which I started out playing and which I will not name and they just do not compare to the V7. All I can say is this is a great fantastic bass. The kind that makes you want to practice all day every day. A little on the heavy side than what I am use to but that I will deal with that. The sound and quality of the bass makes all the difference. I thought my other two basses sounded great until I heard the V7 coming out of my amp. I am now in the process of upgrading my other basses to get close as possible to the V7. It has inspired me to do that. What a bass.

  • I bought the V3 2nd generation, but whenever I switch it to active mode, it does not sound while the bass works perfectly in passive mode. Is there a special set up for the active mode? (note: I have tried to change the battery)

  • This Bass is a Game Changer Sir . A $2000 Bass for $700 can't be beat . So with all of your negative comments about the V7 , They're STILL Flying Off The Racks . And U are INSANE if U think a Shitty Squire Sounds better Than The Marcus Miller v7.

  • What a great review man! Congrats, you play so so so brilliant, I enjoyed a lot. I have a question for you. I'm thinking about getting a 1994 Fender Mexican JB for 500$ or this Sire V7. I'm really vonfused about it, could you help me? I play in a multi-genre band now. Thak you a lot!

  • Sire went to screw in battery compartment covers because the plastic battery covers on the first gen versions kept breaking after a short time

  • Hello Michael! I have a question. What's the background beat at 12:05? I want to learn the bassline but I've been looking for it for so long. I still haven't found it..

  • LOL i was hearing the demo in my closed headphones and when fender joined the game the bass vibrated the whole chassis of my phones.
The sire afterwards looked like a toy

  • Where can I find this bass? Haven’t been able to find it in the green color anywhere. You said it was Sherwood but I’m only seeing Swamp Ash?
