Sire Marcus Miller V7 2nd generation full review
Hi there!
Watch my review of the Sire V7 2nd generation.
I have some critique, but you´ll see, that overall, I absolutely love this instrument! 😉
Watch and hear some playing examples, and I even included a short comparison to my 1973 Jazz Bass, as many of you asked about that!
Thx a lot for watching, please subscribe to the channel, to help it grow!

what’s the thing at the top of the bass that makes the strings lower?
Could you do a sound comparison between the alder and swamp ash versions ?
That color is perfection. Wish they would have the V8 in the roster maple neck with that color. Great video!
Would you recommend this for top 40 music more on the pop side?
Super groove !
????????

The lifted Soul chords around 12:31 are so next level.
Dude that first bass sounds absolutely KILLER ????
That OG Jazz bass sounds golden ❤
super sound and your playing…..bravo
How much do those sire basses weighs compared to the fender?
Man, you are such a great player! Your feel is wonderful. Such groove, I could listen to you all day. You must play in a lot of bands. We'll done, on such a great review. I'm buying one next week. Thanks for your amazing talent!!
Can you buy it at a guitar center or something?
What an amazing review, what an amazing bass, the most "Expensive" bass i have played is the Yamaha TRB505, i liked it but i really never fell in love with it and sold it, still playing my RBX774 made in Taiwan which i got for a $80USD 10 years ago in a pawn shop, i just ordered a Sire V7, im in love with its sound since i heard it at the Free Cover channel, sounds so good for latin music.
sorry to tell but your sire is a V3 only the V3 as painted headstock the toher dont have that or maybe its a custume one but i dont think so
Hey Michael, great review to begin with, thanks a lot! I have been playing with a big band for a while and I have realized, that I have to change my bass. (I currently have a Harley Benton MB-4, don't get me wrong, a great bass, but it just doesn't really fit the vibe and in my opinion a jazz bass is a lot more versatile, which can come in handy for me) So I have done research and I was unsure if I should get me a Squier 60s Classic Vibe Jazz Bass or V7. I have played both Squier and MM before, but they were different models. (Affinity and V3 respectively.) With Squier I had a better neck feeling and liked playing it a little bit more, but I recently played a V5 and I liked it as well. Still, I am quite unsure..
Since you mentioned having both of the basses, can you help me please?
Thanks a lot in advance!
????????????????
Just purchased me the Sire MM V7 2nd Generation 5 string. OMG. Only been playing 2 years so I'm mostly still a novice compared to all you others out there who have been playing for double digit years but I have two other basses which I started out playing and which I will not name and they just do not compare to the V7. All I can say is this is a great fantastic bass. The kind that makes you want to practice all day every day. A little on the heavy side than what I am use to but that I will deal with that. The sound and quality of the bass makes all the difference. I thought my other two basses sounded great until I heard the V7 coming out of my amp. I am now in the process of upgrading my other basses to get close as possible to the V7. It has inspired me to do that. What a bass.
why did you photoshop the thumbnail when it's not that green in actuality?
I bought the V3 2nd generation, but whenever I switch it to active mode, it does not sound while the bass works perfectly in passive mode. Is there a special set up for the active mode? (note: I have tried to change the battery)
Thinking about buying this bass! How is the build quality?
This Bass is a Game Changer Sir . A $2000 Bass for $700 can't be beat . So with all of your negative comments about the V7 , They're STILL Flying Off The Racks . And U are INSANE if U think a Shitty Squire Sounds better Than The Marcus Miller v7.
Wonderful playing!!
they changed theplastic for screw ecause it reak to easily
omfg ure the best dude, thanks a lot <3
What a great review man! Congrats, you play so so so brilliant, I enjoyed a lot. I have a question for you. I'm thinking about getting a 1994 Fender Mexican JB for 500$ or this Sire V7. I'm really vonfused about it, could you help me? I play in a multi-genre band now. Thak you a lot!
Sire Marcus Miller ????
Sweet jamming there dude.
Sire went to screw in battery compartment covers because the plastic battery covers on the first gen versions kept breaking after a short time
Thank you, I feel that I've chosen a bass guitar now.. Very helpful!
Sick riff
old but nice
Hi, is the maple fretboard exposed or gloss-finished?
Daumen runter fürs Daumenkloppen
Skills!! I just bought one of these and am blown away by the fretboard!
That is one great sounding J-style bass !! And the color is to die for ! I am curious about what it weighs ?
Hello Michael! I have a question. What's the background beat at 12:05? I want to learn the bassline but I've been looking for it for so long. I still haven't found it..
Such a helpful video – am looking to buy one of these basses. I think you just convinced me!!
LOL i was hearing the demo in my closed headphones and when fender joined the game the bass vibrated the whole chassis of my phones.
The sire afterwards looked like a toy
Where can I find this bass? Haven’t been able to find it in the green color anywhere. You said it was Sherwood but I’m only seeing Swamp Ash?
