When a company tries to make every type of guitar possible, it will never be considered a serious brand. Big brands are what they are, not only because of the high quality of the instruments, but also because of the products that are distinguished. Going this way, Sire will never be considered as top, but just as another generic brand, that make big names lookalike instruments. Maybe sad, but true.

No offense to Lee but I really wanted to hear some more nuanced playing from Pete on that semi-hollow filtertron guitar. You guys really need to compare that to a similarly priced Gretsch because it seems like a potential Gretsch killer.

I've had the H7T for a few weeks now. The Sire trem system is a real winner. Instead of the typical Bigsby pins, they have a string-through, solid brass block. Restringing is a breeze. As mentioned, not a light guitar, and the neck is of the "baseball bat" variety. For me, it's perfect. For smaller players, maybe not so much.
L5 looks Nighthawk shape… but YUK! lol
The L5 has a very similar shape to the Gibson nighthawk models
loved the sound of that jazz box, the f one, mega bad ass, loved the vid boys.
Gawd, Pete made Master sounding jazzy with such a breeze!
i think that the whole vibe about Lipstick Tube pickups is that they have lower output and somehow more dynamic response.
You guy's in the UK get all the good Sire guitars. Here in Australia we only get a limited selection and when they are gone they are gone. Sucks .

The L5 looks like a Gibson Nighthawk body, but with a '70s maple neck and fretboard, and Danoelectro pickups.
