Slow Blues Guitar Improv (Audio + Tabs)
I’m pretty much a beginner, this a Blues improv in the style of BB King and Larry Carlton. Approximate tabs are included (might vary slightly as it was an improv), i’ll add the tab for Lick 5 asap once i try and remember what i played.
Feedback appreciated… i know it probably needs to flow better.

Cool sound. Thank you.
Anyone know the key this is played in?
Good job. I'd say you've moved beyond a beginner. Have a look at justinguitar for some more tasty licks.
More please
Well, thanks to you I just found four great licks.
Thanks
I like it.Well done.
thanks man usually not into blues but thats great
@bluesgeetar Thanks man !!
MUSIC IS FREE……..IF YOU REALLY PLAY WITH YOUR SOUL….LEARN THE SCALES….AND MAKE YOURS LICKS…..SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH…
What key is this in?
Needs more slurs, sliding, vibrato and bluesy stylings like that. But you have the basics of blues improv down, and those licks were pretty solid. Also try to keep more on the beat with your notes. You sometimes seem a little off. Definitely a great job for a beginner!
awesome!!
Thanks for the TABS
what is the tunning?
@xsjadobruce yeah but you know what I mean. Basically almost every lick is allready done by every artist. You hear those licks and you automatically play them. At least, that's the best way to learn blues.
Works on the vibrato, is very very important. When you end a phrase use vibrato on the last note and the phrase will sound much much better and more expressive. Remember details in blues are very important, almost essential.
And of course: sing EVERY phrase you play, play ONLY what you sing.
well not really, actually blues is all about copying licks and make them your own.
great tabs !!
when there was the 12b14 stuff I didnt hear the 14 am i deaf or?
you are doing good.
im no expert but heres a suggestion: playing the blues is about making your guitar sing. So take a backing track and sing over it, then try to play with the guitar the things you sing with your voice
thats useless
if u peaople want to be able to improvise u should learn scales and blues harmony , notes to avoid , notes u can play on a chord , cromatic phrases also linear expresions by marttino can fit into a blues progresssion if u take that activities like i maj / v , ii m / v iiim/v etc … that sounds really cool .. try it
licks are useless
It's good, but it just doesn't seem to have that "deep" feeling a bunch of blues songs usually have. You should try one with a little more feeling.
gd job mate, for 9 months ur doing pretty good!
mabye try including a few hammer ons or pull offs? not to much though itll take away the whole bluesy feeling.
