  • If you capture a klon clone and then use 2 nanos to recapture it does that make it a cloned klon clone?… uhhh.. I guess it’s a cloned klon clone clone. Got it????

  • All fun and games until these digital amp modeler companies charge for some kind of subscription-like payments to get some firmware/software updates or dlc-like payments to unlock some features on the amp that was already built in the first place ???? oh wait., Kemper has started to roll the ball already., ????

  • A few years ago I heard you talk about why you lean towards modelers over profiling/captures. I think over time I’ve come around to your point of view.

  • I thought both tones very similar- however as i’ve found with my Kemper the sound from the audience point of view is absolutely fine but it’s how it ‘feels’ under the fingers to the individual player…

  • Loved the groove in the intro jam ????

I was listening with my studio headphones on and was doing something else and had no idea there were any changes till I watched the video.

  • I think this would be great if you have a big chain store where you can rent short term and capture a bunch of stuff you want

  • The thing with the capturing is that I have to get my hands on the devices I want to capture and then capture a bunch of settings . I think that’s why I prefer the capability of modeling if I’m getting a device

  • Would it be possible for you to put together a video showing how you set up your core tone? As a mostly clean to low gain player, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the level of overdrive and sustain that you get without having a spitty, grainy sound. Perhaps for us none digital users you could show us a setup using a clean Fender-type amp sound with a standard type overdrive pedeal, ( Blues Breaker, ODR1, Klone, Timmy) I'm also guessing it's not possible without some kind of Low Pass filter. Thanks for all the great videos.

  • I had a Royal Overdrive before I was ready to appreciate it properly. Sounded great but it wasn't without major drawbacks. That said, I'd like to get my hands on it again but I suspect the silly prices will stop that happening. Also, you can get 99% there with easily available alternatives and honestly I'm mature enough now to realise it doesn't matter

  • Original sounds crispier. Not super noticeable from a hearing perspective, but it should be under the fingers as it looks like having more attack.

  • They are reasonably close but there's a difference through my speakers. The Van samples sounded clearer with a different break up. Great tones as always. If they sound the same and the QC is more flexible, would you sell me the Royal Overdrive? ????
