Just found your channel and what you are doing is truly astonishing, wish i had found your channel during the pandemic ❤
Thanks for this lesson! I got the music from your repertoire lessons grade 5&6 and the lessons leading up to the piece were super helpful to play. Specifically, focusing on the melody first made the shifts easier once the melody was sort of in muscle memory.
I want to know what kind of sound recording microphone you use
Thank you for this video demo and free music sheet. As you mentioned in "Score Comments: The use of the E in measure 19 and 20 is used as a pedal point but feel free to play an F sharp with a barre at the 2nd fret if you prefer." At time mark 0:37, I prefer the F#m7/F# chord going to the B7(9) at Bar 21, forming a smoothe iim7-V7 cadence resolution to the E major home key. Matter of preference I guess.
Picking the guitar back up with this peace. Years ago my instructor gave it to me as a beginner and i played the part before barres perfectly but my hands were too small to keep the barres from being trembly hehe????????????
АНЧАДАН БЕРИ ТИНГЛАГИМ КЕЛАДИ, ЭНДИ ТОПДИМ
Great lesson, thank you!
In the beginning od the 2nd section some editions have an F sharp in the base rather than an open A.
Excellent. Thank you
I think barring 4 strings on bar 7 is a good compromise, makes it a lot easier to get over to the 1st string later, and it's easier on the fingers
You should do a lesson for “Bloozinay” very fun and difficult pc, not a lot on YouTube and NO tablature on it, I’d pay you for the tabs
Very good!
Only 76K view? Deserves many many more. Liked. Thank you.
İ just want to say you're helping a lot and they are really useful, just keep goin❤️
I’m saving up for a hand transplant with long, slender fingers. Some days I feel like I’m playing with mittens.
Lovely tutorial thank you!
00:35 is that an alternate bass on barre 20, ive never seen it played without a full barre and the 2nd fret. It looks much easier to play it how you did!
Edit: i got to the rest of the video and you went over it!
Merci beaucoup!
Really excellent tutorial. Very much appreciate the discussion- I revisit this video many times as I learn the piece. (I also bought your Classical Guitar Technique book which is great for skills practice). Keep up the good work Bradford
Great lesson… I have been playing this since highschool in 1975. This piece is to Classical Guitar what Canon in D is to Violin… cant go wrong… the audience always loves it….
Wow this sounds so much better when you play it
Of course your performance is superlative, as always. So grateful to have discovered you during quarantime. Hadn't picked up my guitar for decades and never had the benefit of such an excellent instructor. You're so kind.
I am 21, bought guitar 4 months ago, never had any connection before that, after that, i studied this piece in 5 days.
Which model is this? Thank you for sharing your talent!!
Do you think this would be a good piece to college audition with? If not, could you give me examples of what repertoire I should study for auditioning?
it is not free on your website.
sir beautiful sound; could you just tell me your melody notes are quite thick but when I record this tune myself on my phone its not as good as what is the basic is it also matter your microphones or there some also
What an INCREDIBLE Musician!
Great lesson video (as always). I find these really useful as someone on a “self teaching” classical guitar journey!
I noticed that you mentioned you don’t use the D# leading note in the bass voice in bar 14. The version I have been using (in the book “Complete Learn to Play Classical Guitar” by Jason Waldron) has this in the notation. Is there a “correct” version for this traditional piece, or is it common for different arrangements to feature in prep repertoire syllabi?
I kind of like the D# as a leading note, it adds a nice harmonic “crunch” before the resolution passage in bars 15/16.
So we'll explained. ..super helpful great job
I just came across your video, I love your interpretation and the instructions on how to play it, moving to the next position are great. I have been using a free tab sheet but I wanted something more, Iv'e got your free music and will practice that with your video. Some big stretching, also my guitar action is questionable and makes some barring difficult, could be time for an upgrade. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful interpretation and teaching!
I find it very difficult on the barring section whereas I tend to mute the notes. I don't know if my left hand is just so weak but could you please share any tip on how to make them sound the way they supposed to? Thanks
By far, the best version I've heard. You played this piece beautifully!
Very clear demonstration
Great vid, definitely subscribed

Recently my guitar teacher passed away, and this piece reminds me of him, as he use to play it soulfully.. Now to find the tutorial, I thank you.
Beautifully played ! Thank you for the video !
Very lovely. You are a wonderful guitarist.
Thanks for the lesson! I'm struggling with the timing of this piece, what tempo do you set the metronome for your students to practice to?
Bradford – You play the guitar beautifully. Your interpretations are sensitive and communicate with great clarity. Thank you! (You're no slouch as a teacher, either.)
Do you use a rest stroke on the High E string throughout for the melody? Or do you use a
Free Stroke?
This is one of the few songs I can play. It is an absolutely beautiful song. I would love though to learn how to play it on the mandolin
Thank you so much. You are fantastic.
There may be different versions of this tune but the Narciso Yepes arrangement from the movie Jeux Interdits is slightly different during the major section of the piece.
mesures 19 and 20: the bass is F sharp (which implies a difficult bar chord)
measure 29: the bass is E.
