The sound is all in the hands if you ask me. I know you get better quality, but it's funny for the price of that Fender custom shop you could buy 23 Squires! ????
exactly the same
220
You cant see what they FEEL like to play
well, the Custom Shop is definitely not worth the price once you listen to this comparison
I won't lie, the Squier and the Custom Shop ones sounded best to me ????
my favorite bass is the fender nate mendel signature bass – sounds better than every custom shop I have heard !
Get the squire and upgrade the pickups
Fender Performer sounds more alive, the squier just dead! Mexico is in the middle, I was curious to hear differences with Sire P series
Mexico wins imho.
Mexico PBass is the best sound.
Squier , but made in Japan
Remember. Tone comes from the pickups, the strings, amp head, cabinet, mic, and the plucking style. Anything else is so incredibly inconsequential that it is removed, covered, or overshadowed by any decent mix. All the gear that isn't the bass itself is important for sound. For the instrument, go with what feels good to play and strikes your eye. Don't spend money on the sound of an electric instrument beyond its pickups.
All alnico 5 magnets?
The 1,500 dollar bass sounded the best. But not 600 dollars better.
Changing the type of strings will have just as much effect on the sound
It's not about what the audience hears sound-wise, it's what they hear performance-wise and at a certain level of experience a bassist's performance will be effected by the particular bass, by which instrument they can perform best on.
They all sound the same to me.
There’s literally no difference.
Keys are far too loud in the mix, sucking up 200-800Hz can’t hear the bass
The Squier just needs a hotter pickup, $100 more on the pickup and a pro setup and it will be good enough to gig.
Fender custom Shop.
Forever ????
