How can I contact you.
…thank you Elliot, for confirming so much of what mentor and A&R alumnus, Joe Jorgensen, taught me. Within your next interview, tell us your thoughts on the 3M Digital 32 trk. when it was on its best "behavior". Thanks !
I'd love to hear more about the Hornsby sessions. I once read that Bruce went home when the record was done and put his head in his hands and said "my career is over". That's how much he hated the sound of the album. I really don't understand why. That album sounds amazing. I wonder what Bruce was expecting?? He also referred to his producer as a son of a bitch. I guess that must've been Elliot. It's too bad because that's one of the best albums of all time.
So great, Brad (and Els!)! Thank you! MJ

Ug.
Boy, I sure don't miss the days of analog mixing with folks like those guys.
Thanks for this interview…..really enjoyed it. you both seem like swell fellahs.
I am absolutely loving this interview. Thank you for posting!
This is one of the best engineer interviews on YouTube, it didn't just focus on eulogising the 'good old days' which so many younger interviewers seem to gravitate towards.
I sincerely hope that you do another with Elliot soon, and if so; please cover more of the techniques used for surround mixing, in particular Quadraphonic 4.0 and what it was like to pioneer mixing beyond the stereo realm. ????
Poor Elliot, he must sit there listening to the interviewer
