Steve Morse “If You’re Not Listening, You’re Not Interacting” | AMS Interview
What an insane honor it was to have THE Steve Morse in our studio. Not only did Steve grace us with his playing, but we were also able to sit down and talk to him about what makes us better musicians, collaboration, creating signature tone, and the gear that makes it all possible.

Can someone please tell me what the black Ernie ball thing is on the nut/headstock? Some kind of string dampener? A counter ballance? Maybe he talks about it later but haven't gotten there yet.
❤Beautiful❤ ????
Steve’s album “The Introduction” changed my life as a 13 year old guitar nerd kid! With a steady diet of Zeppelin and Aerosmith at the time, Steve’s approach to composition and note choice perked my young ears. To now be able to drink my coffee and watch Steve explain composition and recording is something I’m glad I’ve lived long enough to experience. They don’t make em like Steve anymore. ❤
"Grab a coffee, loose a chorus"?!? That's a bit rough, no? I'm not sure I want to work with anyone like this if I'm in a band setting. I get it if this is hired-gun, session work.
Steve is as great as it gets! Dixie Dregs were so amazing!

Incredible sound differences, gives you tools in your kit.Steve has been incredible,I'm in my late 60's,and I've been listening for a long time!.
Steve is a true hero<3
So thankful to see Steve this year in Nashville with the Dregs and the Steve Morse band.
@4:18 "Necessity is the mother of invention."
I think you guys dig Steve Morse better than Rick Beato did.
I first saw Steve Morse on "The Introduction" tour in 1984. He was amazing then and now!
Dammit – I just bought an Engl Fireball 25. Now I'll have to trade for the Morse mini.
SM❤????????????
What Coldplay song are they talking about?
What I love about Steve Morse is that he is such a guitar nerd (in a good way). He is one of the professors. He knows what he is doing it.
It was a great interview with good questions!
One of my all time favorites!
Thanks ????????????????????
Such a nice guy! Meet him twice and he really took time to talk to me ????????
YouTube: I need a ❤ emoji for this. Steve isn't just a player–he's a composer, tech geek, and a generally fun guy to listen to as he lets us peek into his head.
Dixie Dregs one great bands of all time….
Steve is AMAZING
The hero of harmonics! ????
Thanks 🙂
Fantastic!! Steve is my musical hero and I could listen to him talk about music and guitars all day. thanks for this.
As for the play like Blackmore part of the interview, I wouldn't doubt like me a good percentage of the audience were there to see Steve.
I remember seeing that guitar when it was new some 30 years ago, now look at the wear! And looks like the same dimarzio clip lock strap from that era!
Love Morse but damn this was an incoherent
interview
