Supro Amp | 1965t Black Magick | Review
Michael Casswell Reviews the Supro Black Magick 1965T, a recreation of one of Rock & Roll music’s holy-grail amplifiers. This all-tube, high-gain blues machine hearkens back to the dimensions, cosmetics and circuitry of the Supro amps from 1959, just like the one loaned by Jimmy Page to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. In tribute to this legendary and extensively modified Supro combo, they’ve used the cabinet dimensions from a ‘59 Supro 2×10 and replaced the baffle with a 1×12 and armed this 25-watt combo, with a custom, British voiced speaker that was specially developed for the Black Magick amp.

Great demo …. I already know they sound great clean. I need to know the amp can Rock.
Actually basex on the Legendary God amp that was used for the entirety of Zeppelin 1. Actually the original was i think a 2×10 Coranado which Jimmy had the baffle taken out and turned into a 1×12.
Great amp but Mikes playing in these demos fascinates me the most, one of the best ever and a cool person will listen back to his playing and videos forever…
Miss this man's reviews and playing. RIP Michael.
What was your signal chain to get the reverb in there ?
On this amp ,,,,if your back the tone knob down to zero it sounds like you have. a fuzz pedal attached like at 12:21
Just bought one…..what an incredible amp !
the amplifiers sounds like it had reverb in it was that strictly the amplifier and the guitar making that reverb type of sound?
Finally a demo that isn't strummy led-zep riffs. Thanks for showing how amazing this amp can sound.
I have a 1965? Gretsch Bass amp. I think it is Valco Supro. A bad bass amp, an incredible guitar amp. Just had it recapped. It sounds similar to my 78 Marchall 50w
Is he tuned to an open tuning? Sounds like slide guitar without the slide. RIP Mike.
Michael could make any amp sound amazing seems like, but he sure made this one sing
3:41 i cum !
Still not over it. What a talent.
Didn't realize we had lost him. What great demos and such a nice touch and feel. Only problem with players like this is that he sounds better than I ever have or will. RIP
RIP, My Friend!!
Great demo – great playing and great tones … Makes it look easy .. RIP MC
excellent review. not really a start fan myself . but will admit loving those tones .. not really a full strat though. :*0.
What a great player, Sadly Missed….
Damn. He was so good. Rip
RIP, Michael Casswell, Godspeed. Your talent and instruction has and will continue to inspire players everywhere..
But did you realise he does not answer any questions ???? strange that .
Have you added reverb/delay afterwards, or is it pedals in the front?
Sounds great, but you might want to be a little more upfront with what effects you're using too. I'm hearing reverb and delay, at least. Not sure if a attenuator is being used too.
dude is killin
I can't decide which I like more – the sound of this amp, or simply listening to Michael Casswell talk about it.
Holy fuck. That man can play. He would sound good playing a stringed potato.
What is he playing?? Is just sweet!
Love your playing.
Love Michael's playing… really a great match for this amp.
I just bought one 4 days ago. I LOVE this amp!!
Outstanding demonstration of this amp. Very well done~!
Just found this channel… great playing… great sound… great insightful reviews. Disciple of Beck! Love the chops! Subscribed.
Yeah, thanks! After trying a Supro Dual Tone, I had my pennies being saved, but this thing sounds and looks even better. Definitely leaning towards this now. And as someone else said, this guy does play with a rock star elegance. Fascinated to see what else Supro come up with.
Without doubt Michael is one of the very best reviewers and players on YouTube.
Sounded great, in part because of the delicious reverb which, of course the amp doesn't have. I wish the demo were more representative of the amp alone
Great watching Michael reviews… The problem is he makes every guitar and amp sound amazing !!!
That's one hell of a great sounding amp, Michael's playing doesn't suck either. This would be a killer slide guitar amp.
It's been a while I've been watching Michael's reviews and this one like any other he did is a pure wonder of elegance. Thank you, great great stuff. Fantastic player.
I dig that whammy bar use
