  • It’s
a Taylor 616ce Grand Symphony Acoustic-

    Electric
Guitar.  I call it the Acoustic
    Stradivarius,

    because
it is made of an “aged” spruce top and

    darkened
maple back, sides and neck, much like

    traditional
    stringed instruments.  As you might

    expect,
it produces a very unique sound with deep,

    bold
lows, clear, mellow mids, and crisp highs,

    similar
to a cello and violin combined.  To top
    it off,

    it
looks as beautiful as it sounds!  The
    final thing that

    confirmed
my choice of this guitar is the symbolic

    ivory-like
inlays on the neck which appear to be

    7
angels ascending.  Six of the angel
    inlays are on

    the
ebony fretboard and the seventh angel inlay is

    on
the back of the tuning head, which faces the

musician.  This angel is different from the rest

    because
he has been transfigured into what looks

    to
be a sword, the Sword of the Spirit!
    Truly, this

    guitar
was designed for the worshipper to bring

    glory,
honor and praise to the King of kings and

    Lord
of lords as well as a weapon of spiritual warfare

    to
thwart principalities and powers for the Kingdom

    of
God.  It is an honor and a privilege to play
    this guitar

    For
my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

    Blessings,
    Jeff Cyphers

  • Nice review!
I concur… other than a 914 or Cujo-14, the 616 ce that I had opportunity to spend some time with was easily among the most elite and musical Taylors… I was so surprised how well it played and how good it sounded. IMHO this particular guitar is by far the best Taylor bargain…
