  • Yamaha are using an ageing technique using ultrasonic sound beams to help improve the sweetness of the tonewoods. They never mentioned which wood or on a finished product and for how long. But I figure it’s just a selling technique. I would suggest you find your guitar and if it feels right, looks right and sounds right you would keep it for life anyway. Period.

  • To each his own I suppose, but I think it has a cool mellowed sound. I’d be curious to hear what a well played one sounds like in about 5 years.

  • Saw this guitar on a tV commercial – looks great but was disappointed it was Koa – owned a Taylor Koa guitar before – rosewood sounds so much better

  • Its looks beautiful and sounds good when unplugged l dont like the sound of the E2 system it sounds like a cheap microphone and no treble The E1-system sounds better .replace the E2 system to LR Baggs Elements and l cant believe how nice is the no quack carboard sounds it very natural acoustic sound:)

  • I love the way they look .  BUT .  I played a few of them .   It does not sound as good as my 314 or my GS Mini .   And wow .  how much they cost .
