I was considering this, but it seems far too complicated for something that's supposed to be a practice amp.
This overview of this amp is really good. Tkank You for Your usable and needed help. Greetings from Poland.
I am surprised that the amp is broken. One issue with the loop is that which is very important for me that it doesnt save your work when you're offline, it disappears. Is it worth to buy this amp only for recording and looper? or you will need extra looper? Boss RC
Is there a way to disable the auto shut off feature?
This little felllow is very appealing, but luckily I saved myself buying one after I read that yours has given up a month after shooting this video.
I would like to ask if the JOYO DC-15s can be connected to a Boss RC 1 looper pedal as well? I know it has a factory loop in it, but would that be possible? Thanks!
I have yet to see they have this amp in stock
Thank you. I watched part 1 as well. Really good review and helped me to decide on buying this. Take care.
Could you tell me how to access the 36 drum patterns as I seem to be able to find approx 21 (based on the amount of clicks as I rotate.) Am I missing something? Nice in depth review.
I think that the issue with Android, assuming no issue with the amp, is an imbalance in the impedance, or more likely the lead to your android phone. It's only recently that some Android phones went over to the same wiring configuration as Apple (CTIA) for the TRRS connector, and I am not even sure that all Android phones and other devices have. So if you have a a different configuration standard then that will be your issue. You could actually be shunting your signal to ground. If, as another has mentioned, it works brilliantly with an iPhone then the cable is wired for CTIA. This is actually an issue with some non apple laptops that use the TRRS for combined stereo audio and mic. There are converters around, or you can buy leads that are wired CTIA one end and another standard the other end.
The best review i have ever came across . Thanks !!!
should i get this for Christmas? i only borrowed my friend's amplifier and I don't have my own
Thanks for the addendum! I've just tested the IOS recording feature using the supplied cable, my iPhone 11 and Garage Band. I can confirm that it works really well. Listen to the test:https://www.dropbox.com/s/ddkeueln3t6k0et/Test_IOS.m4a?dl=0 (excuse my bad playing). I've used my Yamaha SLG200S Silent Guitar and it's really a very good acoustic amp for it.
I struggle a little with the drum machine though: 36 presets on a single knob is really confusing, I can't find any waltz rythm and there is no way to slightly adjust the tempo to match perfectly a song.
Also I find the sound coming from the headphones jack a little muffled compared to the original audio source (the iPhone).
Other than that, I'm very happy with the unit!
Ok…So, this amp vs the Yamaha THR series?
What an excellent follow up review! This little amp has versatiliy and looks to be well priced. Thanks for answering all those questions.
Nice addendum.
