Eddie
Eddie Cochran

Jackson and the Who's versions are marginal at best.
Alan Jackson ????

Alan Jackson is my favorite
Rush did a cover of that song on their ep titled "Feedback" which was released to coincide with their epic R30 tour.
This is a rock song but It could work in country if it's done in a rockabilly style. Alan, just lose the fiddles and steel guitar. I think Dwight Yoakum or Brad Paisely could make cool country friendly versions of this song.
Allen
I've been a huge AJ fan ever since he came on the scene. I grew up with Eddie's version due to my parents. I can't decide between the 2, so Alan and Eddie are a tie for me.
BLUE CHEER followed by the WHO Live at Leeds
No version is close to Cochran’s. Gimme a break.
the who
BLUE CHER's got the best.
The song actually sucks, so…Marcel Marceau's version is my favorite
Blue Cheer, I still have the album.
Blue Cheer!
Iprefer Blue cheer's version
Obviously it’s Eddie
Forgot about Blue Cheer. About 1967-8.
Im going to buck the system…Alan Jackson all day long.
That is very, very difficult to answer – a three way tie.
Blue cheer
You forgot 'The Sex Pistols' cover from the original Punk era in the UK, when Rock N Roll was refreshed after 20 years following Eddie's death.
The Who but Rush did a cover version in 2004 that I think is pretty good
The Who.
Blue Cheer!
Eddie's for me.
1 3 2. I like the original best then the version done by Jackson.
Bryan Adams end of
Blue Cheer's version omits the spoken part of each verse making the song pointless. You got the order correct, BTW.
Also give Rush's version a listen.
Who live, then Eddie for most impressive considering his innovation and the time he was working and early death
1 3 2.
al
Three way tie trifecta of greatness but I'm giving it to Jackson by a Hat!
Blue Cheer
… 1968
You missed one!!!!! Blue Cheer has the best & heaviest version of Eddie Cochran's song. "Guitar Trooper" pift.
BLUE CHEER @
Blue Cheer!!!
The Who
