Jealous. Clapton technically superior to Hendrix? Maybe. Plays with more emotion? Don’t even think about it! Hendrix just had this virtuosity and natural blues ability that came from black music only. I don’t know who Van Halen thinks he accomplished. Nothing memorable to me. Besides I stopped following rock by the mid seventies. Jazz Fusion was a big step up from R & R. I think Al Dimeola blows Clapton and Van Halen are noteworthy but Hendrix was other worldly.
