THE 2025 ESP & LTD GUITARS ARE… ????‍♂️

Guitars of the Day! ESP Presents 2025 showed us the first look at the new lineup, here are the first two highlights that stood out. The Phoenix-based LTD CS-II is Caleb Shomo of Beartooth (and formerly Attack Attack)’s first signature guitar, and the MH-based LTD MT-1 is Mick Thomson’s first ESP artist model that combines elements of his favorite ESP USA guitars (like the Horizon-II and the Maverick).

  • Interesting that there was no James or Kirk sig guitars since they have been in full swing of their album tour

  • i wish ESP would make the STH-130 into a proper signature for Jun Senoue, he's literally the only well known guitarist to own one

  • The Mick Thomson LTD has some sort of « unfinished » vibe.. like raw, but not in a good way ???? But if it plays great, it’s all that matters in the end

  • Horrible lineup, so boring.
50th anniversary makes it even more laughable.
    The company is so lost

  • To me, the most exciting one of the signatures is Alex going with the XJ shape. Easily my favorite guitar of any lineup I've seen so far for 2025 based on me being a filthy hipster lol.

  • It bothers me that Mick Thomson has a signature pickup set with Fishman and he didn’t even use the full set in his signature model

Also I hate the amount of new guitars for 2025 that only have one bridge pickup. Like, why ????

  • The josh Middleton one it the only one that catches my eye but still would rather buy a e-ii or edwards

  • Not surprised Mick went with a super-strat, but i am surprised to only see one pickup after his BC Rich, Ibanez, and Jackson sigs all had 2. Haven't kept up with Slipknot's live stuff in a while, so i guess he's either getting that neck pickup tone elsewhere or passing off more leadwork to Jim.

  • Doesn’t need to be eye catching to be a metal machine. Modern guitars miss this point entirely.

  • Yayyyy more 2k euro sig guitars made in Indonesia with 1000 series Floyds and Fishermans, just what the people wanted! Every year the offerings get worse and prices higher.

  • Should talk about the prices! Most of the new LTD's are priced higher than E-II's…

  • Not surprising Mick went with the most "boring" option. His guitars have always been function over form. (with few exceptions)

This might be "a year of the phoenix" for me as I'm big fan of all the models which were shown. It's just sad to see how expensive LTD's have become. Pretty ridiculous how some models have cost more than E-II for some time now.
